🚨 Five-Story Challenge – 23 Radiators & No Heating for 5 Years! 🚨

This system really tested me…
When I arrived, the house had a gravity-fed Y-plan system that had been piped completely wrong. It hadn’t worked properly since the customer bought the property over 5 years ago 😬.

They’d already had multiple engineers out and spent a fortune, but the system was totally blocked and beyond saving in its current setup.

Originally, we planned to keep the gravity system with a heat-only boiler. But after uncovering so many blockages during flushing, the best option was to convert the system to sealed by adding an expansion vessel and 3 bar PRV.

💧🔥 The result? A perfectly working heating & hot water system, and a customer who’s finally warm — and happier than ever! 🙌

👉 Sometimes the only way forward is to re-engineer the whole system, and it’s worth it when you see the difference it makes.

Another project is coming to an end🤩
The client requested that I complete the job after being let down by their previous plumber.
The initial installer selected a 32kw combination boiler to serve three bathrooms, rather than specifying a system boiler, which would have been a more appropriate choice given the demand.
But to minimise costs for the customer, we adapted the existing (already unboxed) combi boiler for use as a system boiler.

Another Worcester greenstar 30CDI brought back to life
This old girl was never service from the day it was installed (13 years ago) full stripped down and serviced it, the heat exchanger was completely cake up and it was absolutely nightmare to clean up.
Burner seals, spark electrode, bearing plate, AAV, heat exchanger stat all replaced
Expansion vessel charged , condense trap removed and cleaned up.
The Boiler was range rated to suit the property needs
Flue gas analysis done on max and minimum output and gas valve adjusted accordingly.
Another happy customer added to the list👊👊
