I grew up in good old Camden Town, NW1 (The yellow flats) 😁 During a time when everyone treated each other like family. We knocked on our friends doors, we went outside to play on the estate and in surrounding areas. We built dens and made tree swings 🌳, we got dirty and had baths 🛀🏻 - no showers (showers had rubber-sucker ends that connected to the taps). On a Sunday we didn't eat fast food🍟🍔...we ate a Sunday dinner...proper home made goodness. We got ice cream🍦from an ice cream van. We had water fights, played rounders, garden hopping 🌳, kerby 🏐 , Hide and Seek🙈, Run-Outs🏃 and knock down ginger. There was no bottled water 💦 we drank water from the tap (bathroom tap at night)🚰 We shared the same bottle of pop after we'd wiped it with our dirty sleeves. We only had kids tv after school and only 4 channels to watch 📺. We rode our bikes 🚲 for hours 🕰. There was no such thing as a mobile 📱 or any other electronic device 📵. If someone had a fight, that's exactly what it was... a fist fight👊. Kids didn't have guns🔫 or knives🔪. The street lights 💡were our curfew or until we were shouted in! School was mandatory ✏️📒. We watched our mouths around our elders👴🏼👵🏼 because we knew we'd get a slap. Nothing was too PC back then, so Re-post if you're proud 👭👬👫and you will never forget where you came from!
