Lazenby Polished Concrete

Lazenby Polished Concrete Specialists in polished concrete floors and surfaces, for both commercial and residential projects.

At Lazenby, we are specialists in creating bespoke polished concrete floors and surfaces. Our passion is bringing people’s design dreams to reality, and we provide an array of iconic concrete colours and finishes to suit any commercial or residential project. Established in 1990, we have been the market leaders in decorative and polished concrete for over a quarter of a century, and for a good rea

son. We pride ourselves on delivering quality service, by listening to your needs. No two projects are the same, and that’s what we love about the versatility of polished concrete. As well as flooring, we create concrete worktops, stairs and outdoor patios with a range of pre-cast colour matches. No matter the size of the project, we are always looking to push the boundaries of what is possible and bring the supreme touch of modern sophistication that we’re known for, to any space.

Recently installed in North London, this project features 100m2 of red polished concrete to the lower ground floor.

Working closely with the architect, we developed a series of samples to achieve the striking bespoke red colour required for the project, with the integral pigment mixed throughout the concrete to ensure a consistent finish across the entire floor. The installation also incorporates a sunken seating area and a 400mm high concrete upstand, both cast to match.

Externally, a 1.2m high, 5m long concrete planter was formed in the same red concrete, extending the material palette beyond the building itself.

Following installation of the floor, we were commissioned to produce a bespoke concrete table measuring 2.8m x 1.5m. Featuring a single central leg and angular underside, the table required a 150mm reinforced concrete slab beneath, with reinforcement tied between the slab, leg and tabletop to ensure the finished piece was structurally sound.

All shuttering was constructed on site prior to pouring. The tabletop was then polished to mirror the floor inside the property, while the leg and underside were left with a cast face finish, showcasing a more raw and industrial character.

RIBA Awards Recap 🏆 It’s truly an honour to share that several of our recent collaborations have been recognised at the 2026 RIBA Awards, celebrating great architecture from across the UK.

🏅 Reciprocal House in Camden won a UK RIBA London Award, celebrating the considered development of an original Norman Foster extension where 21st-century innovation meets an iconic 1960s structure. All four floors of this magnificent residential property now feature 270m2 of our Diamond Polished Concrete.

🏅 In addition to a UK RIBA London Award, Space House takes home a London Conservation Award, honouring the preservation of its Brutalist heritage and impressive sustainability credentials. The meticulously designed area surrounding the redeveloped commercial space features more than 750m2 of our iconic external polished concrete.

🏅 The Urban Nature Project at London’s famous Natural History Museum won a UK RIBA London Award and Project Architect of the Year. This groundbreaking installation uses 3000m2 of our one-of-a-kind external topping system as the basis for the Evolution Timeline, walking visitors through three billion years of British geology.

🏅 And, finally, acknowledging its visionary ambition, the state-of-the-art East Marshgate building at University College London won a UK RIBA London award and was named London Building of the Year. In addition to installing 2000m2 of Diamond Polished Concrete and 2500m2 of our cutting-edge polished concrete alternative, we implemented a comprehensive sustainability strategy that saved 4.7 tonnes of CO2.

Please join us in extending congratulations to our incredible clients who are at the forefront of architectural excellence, pioneering design, and sustainability.

Everything you need to know about our pre-cast sinks 👉 Each and every one of them is made by one of our concrete craftsmen, and because they are concrete they can be any size or shape you want, as well as a wide range of colours and finishes.

We do have our own range of sinks, but if you’ve got something particular in mind, we’ll make it happen.

We create custom, one-of-a-kind sinks all the time.

In fact, sinks are one of our favourite things to manufacture, especially when we get asked for a really innovative, challenging colour, shape or texture.

Years after the initial installation, our team was thrilled to return to this popular London restaurant to reseal the magnificent in-situ reception and countertop.

In high-traffic, busy commercial areas, polished concrete may require resealing from time to time. This restores the protective barrier, guarding the surface against stains, moisture, and natural wear and tear.

After a fresh coat of sealant, the bespoke pigments become even more vibrant. Hand-mixed exclusively for our clients, the fiery, crimson hue is completely unique, inspired by the restaurant’s culinary heritage.

With a little help from our after-care team, the reception and counter are refreshed and ready for service.

“Polished concrete surfaces really are timeless.” The Director of Variant Office, Ashvin, was drawn to polished concrete’s subtle elegance and unparalleled durability as he searched for the perfect material to complete a textured interior palette of timber and brickwork.

A year after the project’s completion, he’s thrilled with the end result: an elegant and contemporary interior that feels tranquil and serene. Made for modern living.

Introducing The Royal Parks’ Queen Elizabeth II Garden, a majestic new green space in the heart of Regent’s Park.

Meticulously designed to honour Her Late Majesty’s love of the great British outdoors, the new space features 760m2 of our Diamond Polished Concrete in a bespoke, sustainable blend.

The concrete is seeded with recycled material from the demolition of the site’s original greenhouse, along with 40% GGBS and local aggregate. Our master craftsmen laid the external flooring atop a 100% recycled sub base with no cuts or waste, achieving over 50 PTV in the wet.

“I hope visitors will feel a real sense of calm and peace, as I do, when they enter the garden,” explains Matthew Halsall, Senior Landscape Project Manager. “It’s a really beautiful and reflective space, and I hope that this garden is a fitting tribute in her memory.”

Collaborating with Royal Parks, HTA Design and Blakedown Landscapes has been the most incredible journey.

This exquisite bungalow features 250m2 of our Walnut polished concrete throughout the entire ground floor. With deep, earthy pigments, Walnut’s rich but gentle tones are the foundation of this Scandinavian-inspired interior.

James Gorst Architects explains that “the umber polished concrete floor anchors walls of pale brick and lime mortar, set against the moiré patterning of Douglas Fir veneered panels.” They opted for a stripped-back palette “to allow the vibrancy of the external natural world to dominate.”

“As sunlight penetrates the rooms through large windows, the spaces are imbued with a sense of warmth,” adds the client. “This has the effect of making home life in Amento a harmonious and deeply pleasurable experience.”

With its impressive geometric design and an interior that effortlessly encapsulates the warm sophistication of Scandinavia, it’s no wonder that Amento has been shortlisted for the RIBA East Awards 2025.
