Big, bold and beautiful.

Hand-built in-frame shaker cabinetry - India Yellow on the island, Bronze Red on the oven run and banquette, Jonquil on the pantry cupboards. Everything is finished with the care that makes sense when you want to be looking at it for 20 years. We love the arched Crittal door (that we can't take credit for...) - the light streaming in is perfect for showing off our cabinetry. 😉

Large island in Statuario Gold quartz, a glass-fronted larder, oak worktops on the runs, and rattan pendants doing their warm, rattany thing.

It was such a delight to work on this project with a couple that had such a distinct sense of style. 🌻

The Island Question

No two islands are the same. A simple butcher's block for the serious cook. A prep sink tucked in one end. A hob with a view of the garden. Seating for five, with homework chaos at one end and dinner prep at the other. Sometimes all of the above.

The island is arguably the hardest-working piece of furniture in the room. We love designing them - and working out how different families hang out. 🪵

Calm and Considered

Portland Stone Pale, antique brass ironmongery, a fluted glass cupboard, and sash windows onto the garden. This Sundridge Park kitchen is doing a lot of things very quietly. 🤍

The layout is almost perfectly symmetrical - tall cabinetry flanking the integrated fridge-freezer, a generous island with an induction hob and seating for four. One fluted glass cupboard breaks the symmetry just enough. A floating shelf keeps things personal.

Elegant, practical, and calm enough to make you feel like you have your life together.

Clients often come to us saying "I love this colour but I'm not sure I'm brave enough."

We hear this a lot. And every single time, we gently talk them back off the ledge.

Bold blue against a garden backdrop. Deep mustard island with bold red cabinetry. Pink, forest green, inky navy. It's always the ones with personality that people fall in love with. Big colours for bold kitchens.

Go Green!

Alligator Alley cabinetry. Solid walnut island. A glass roof pouring light onto the whole thing. This West Dulwich kitchen is full of charm and colour. 🌿

The double Belfast sink faces the garden (it takes the edge off the washing up), the open larder tucks in neatly by the entrance, and the island has cookbooks on one side and seating on the other. A large range cooker and fluted glass details do the rest.

Bold colours, serious storage, and a room the entire (growing!) family actually want to hang out in.

Drawer Therapy

Most people never see this bit. But we know it's there - and so will the drawer, years from now.

Hand-cut dovetail joints are one of those details that make the difference between furniture that lasts a few years and furniture that lasts a lifetime. You probably won't ever think about them again after reading this. But we've done our job in keeping you informed. 😇

A little bit of Pink.

Castell Pink cabinetry, a deeper Arras island, and a tucked-away drinks larder - and why the hell not! This Barnes family kitchen works really hard with excellent storage and pretty fluted glass on the wall cabinets, we love it. 🌸
