This is why we love what we do! 🙌

Every now and then, a project comes across our desk that's a little different from the norm.

We recently had the opportunity to quote for this fantastic bespoke oak framed building, and it's designs like these that make our job so enjoyable.

Different rooflines, interesting features and something completely unique.

We absolutely love seeing what our customers come up with!

Supply-only or installed — which route suits your oak garage project? 🪵

Already have a trusted builder lined up? A supply-only frame could suit you. Prefer us to coordinate the frame installation? We can help with that too.

Our latest Knowledge Centre article explains the differences, what to check in your quotation and how to compare the cost of the finished project.

Five bays taking shape! 🪵

Great progress on this Southern Oak garage, with the oak frame standing, rafters in place and cladding coming together.

You can really start to see the scale and character of the building now. We’re looking forward to sharing the finished result!

There's something special about seeing an oak frame come together.

No plasterboard, no finishes, no fancy lighting. Just beautifully crafted timber, traditional joinery and a structure designed to stand the test of time.

This is the stage of a project we particularly enjoy at Southern Oak. You can really appreciate the craftsmanship, the exposed beams and the character that natural oak brings to a building.

And whilst the finished building will look completely different, it's the quality of the structure underneath that really matters.

Whether you're planning an oak framed garage, garden building, home extension or something completely bespoke, we can take your project from initial design through to manufacture and installation.

A throwback to this stunning two-bay oak-framed garage we completed in Kidderminster.

A fantastic project to be involved in, with Southern Oak managing the entire build from start to finish.

From the initial groundworks and foundations through to the manufacture of the bespoke oak frame, installation and final roof tiling, every stage came together beautifully.

There's something timeless about traditional oak framing, and this project is a great example of how quality materials and skilled craftsmanship can create a building that's both practical and full of character.

Built to last and designed to look even better with age.

Thinking about an oak-framed garage for your property? We'd love to hear from you.

How much does an oak framed garage actually cost in 2026?

It's one of the questions we're asked most often at Southern Oak, and the answer isn't always as straightforward as the price of the oak frame itself.

There's quite a bit to consider when budgeting for a complete project.

The oak frame, installation, groundworks, roofing, cladding, doors and any planning or structural requirements can all influence the final cost.

And importantly, not every quotation includes the same things.

We've put together a new guide in our Knowledge Centre explaining what goes into the cost of an oak framed garage, what customers should budget for and what to look out for when comparing quotations.

Whether you're considering a single-bay garage, a two-bay cart lodge or something a little more bespoke, it's worth understanding the full picture before getting started.

Single Bay Oak Garage

A single bay oak garage is often where clients start. Simple, well-proportioned, and built to last.

It is a practical addition that protects vehicles while adding genuine character to a property. Crafted from green oak using traditional joints, it weathers naturally and sits comfortably alongside both period and modern homes.

A small structure, done properly, still makes a lasting statement.

Our latest project is heading into production soon - a bespoke oak gazebo for a client in Essex.

Designed to create a substantial outdoor living space, the frame combines traditional oak craftsmanship with a clean, practical layout that will sit beautifully within the finished setting.

We’re looking forward to seeing this one move from drawings into manufacture and, ultimately, taking shape on site.

Traditional craftsmanship. A modern approach.
