Meath Green developments.

Private work.
Two separate jobs ,Both owners opted for a tiled back splash,Both going with completely different tiles.
Would have liked to replace the 100mm upstand altogether however this wasn't chosen.
Looks great all the same

Part 2. Meath green developments.

Where do we even start with this one...So continuing on from part 1 posted in December 2019 this was a development which consisted of 8 3/4 bed houses.
Originally we expected to take on all the drylining work,Tape and Jointing and potentially painting however this soon changed drastically as we took on the following:
•Drylining
•Vapour barriers
•Tape & Jointing
•Plastering
•Tiling
•Bespoke Fireplaces
•Painting/Spraying
•Everything in between 😉

With bespoke fireplaces in each house, one family bathroom, two en suites and a downstairs toilet in each house along with utility rooms,Study etc you can only imagine the amount of work involved.
This project was active for over two years and completed using a very small team.
Having accumulated over 600 pictures and videos throughout the build this will definitely need a part 3/4 and 5.
Please refer to part 1 to get the before and after images.

November 2021.

For this job we were called upon to help push forward a project which had become far too much for the client to handle themselves.
With constant setbacks and no idea of a completion date this house was left without any tenants for months which in return was costing the client money by the day.

This was a small rear single storey extention along with a full house renovation.
We were originally asked to board out all walls and ceilings but as usual this soon changed into a lot larger job than intended.
I don't think there was a single square wall on the job (Which is important when fitting kitchens and bathrooms especially) and with floors 40mm out of level and walls 50mm out of plum we had to improvise massively as we progressed through the project.
There was very little materials to achieve this so the shed soon become the go to place for necessities.
Remember there's never a problem only a solution 😉
Unfortunately no finished pictures for this one as i believe the project is still incomplete but hopefully something i can update in the near future.

Tired of looking at those horrible exposed,Surface mounted water/Gas pipes?

This Client opted to box these in which is deffinitely cost efficient rather than trying to re run such pipework.

The client also wanted to have the tv mounted on the wall however we found the wall was heavily damaged and the internal render had completely blown and was no longer adhered to the brickwork itself.
Unfortunately we have no pictures of the damage but we ended up stripping back the effected area,We run a new power cable to include a double socket situated behind the tv itself along with a HDMI for the sky box.

We then made good of the Damage, painted the wall and all skirting and finished off the design with a nice modern wall hung cabinet/TV unit.
Without any pipework or cables in sight this left a very modern finish and one which is a favourite with many.

July 2021.

Yet another example here of a property which has suffered from the common water leak.
This was an insurance job where water had continuously caused damage to not only the property itself but also to the shop situated beneath.
I was called in originally to investigate the problem and patch up a small area which had been damaged so that it could be rented out without further delay however as most jobs this soon become a bigger issue.
This had already had a few previous attempts from other builders without any success and i soon found the reason why.
Ill let the pictures show what was found to be the culprit along with the making good of this heavily damaged ceiling which in the end needed a full strip out,Re boarded and finished.

July 2021.

This was a bathroom refurbishment for a good family friend who was in need of a quick update to there rented property.
The landlord himself wanted to modernise his dated bathroom keeping it relatively safe(neutral) in regards to specification, purpose and practicality,So while keeping costs low(which i feel is fair to say) we were able to achieve this.
We are always happy to offer our services and work within our clients set budget where possible.
Only bits left to do was a little skirting,Painting,Architraves and bathroom light.

Here we have an example of a badly water damaged internal wall in a living room within the west Norwood area.
This seems very common especially within the house's situated on a hill.
Water damage is so common and one of those issues most houses suffer from in one way or another causing a real headache for any tennant/Home owner.
This job again was for a very lovely family who have used us on a few occasions now,We advised on the method/process of works needed to eradicate this issue but was also fortunate enough to have had a specialist survey this and confirm our plan of action.
The wall needed to be stripped right back to the brickwork itself and from a height of 1.2m-1.5m above the subfloor.
The wall needed days to dry out thoroughly before any process could begin and the same went for each layer of protection i.e waterproofing, render and plaster.
This is a job that Can't be rushed and needed patience throughout.
No end pictures here and Painting was left for the client as instructed.

This particular job is a great example of what i believe become a popular trend during the pandemic....Being Home D.I.Y.

With all the restrictions in place which prevented tradesmen from working domestically in peoples homes and others being ordered to work from home freeing up some personal time it become apparent that many people gave there own jobs a go.
Where this can be beneficial at times some find it quickly becomes too much especially when working a full time job.
We we're asked to come in by a really lovely family which i think is safe to say had maybe bitten off more than they could chew in regards to jugling there already busy work and family life alongside there new projects.
We accepted this offer to help complete all the building works needed which most had already been started by the client.
This consisted of the following:

•Newly installed MF ceilings in the Children's bedroom,Toilet and corridor to accommodate new electrics, downlights/Spotlights.
•On all the ceilings we used soundblock(Acoustic)Plasterboards then finished with a tape & Jointing method and rubbed down ready for the clients to paint.
•Making good of the damage left after the removal of a solid wall in the toilet.
•Making good of all walls in the hallway and bathroom which had already been started by the clients themselves.
