Almost complete! 🎉
Site progress from our Access for All project at .
Our wiggly‑waggly ramp makes the most of the space while keeping things gently sloped and fully accessible. Its soft curves weave through the landscaped gardens, responding beautifully to the church’s historic setting.

As the planting grows in, this little project is shaping up to be a calm, green pocket tucked into a busy, street‑fronted church — proof that accessibility can be joyful, too.

Conservation work is now underway at St Andrew’s Church Tower, a medieval landmark that anchors the historic centre of Enfield. Standing beside the Market Place, the tower remains a defining element of the town’s character, yet its condition has deteriorated severely, leading to its inclusion on the Heritage at Risk Register.

The current programme focuses on repairing the compromised roof and parapet and addressing defects within the surrounding masonry. These works are essential to safeguard the interior spaces, including the Ringing Room and Bell Chamber, and to prevent further loss of historic fabric. Although much of the intervention sits above public view, its significance is considerable, securing the tower’s structural stability and conserving its contribution to the wider heritage townscape.

Completion is anticipated in summer 2026, ensuring the tower’s continued prominence within Enfield’s evolving urban environment.
