A big Happy Birthday to Mason! 🎉

It’s hard to believe he hasn’t even been with us for a year yet. His enthusiasm to keep learning, take on more and his competitive spirit to be the best at whatever he does have really stood out from day one.

He’s come on massively in such a short space of time, learned so much and become a real asset to the team. He’s already carrying out inspections to a really high standard, and when we move into the quieter season, we’ll be getting him more involved on the installation side so he can start learning another part of the business too.

Happy Birthday and I hope you enjoy your well earned day off! 🎂🍻

🧙 Did you know people used to hide “witch bottles” inside their homes?

Apparently, these strange little objects were sometimes concealed in walls, fireplaces and chimneys hundreds of years ago, as people believed they could help protect the home from witchcraft, evil spirits and bad luck.

They’ve been found containing all sorts of unusual things, including bent pins, nails, hair and other personal items.

Fireplaces and chimneys were often chosen because they were seen as possible “entry points” into the home.

It’s a fascinating reminder that when we’re working on older chimneys, we’re sometimes dealing with far more than just bricks and soot — there can be hundreds of years of history hidden inside them. 🔥🏠
