I physically can’t get any more paint off the surfaces!!

Swapped to a water based primer now 🤞

The spec for the job was a water based primer but I wasn’t having that in these conditions,
You can see how much failed due to the sun, rain and general humidity!

Get everything primed up today,
Bits of filling tomorrow and get some paint on… finally

Another issue!

The current paint isn’t breathable,
Far too much filler used on the surfaces
(either accept cracks or use better fillers/renders)
For this amount of sun & water

so many edges lifting and areas bubbling that have already had full prep 🥴.

I can only do what I can do with 6 days left!

Monday:

Work carries on after a 24 hour down pour!

It’s seriously humid today but hopefully the heat from the sun will dry out the prepared surfaces so I can get on with some priming.

I’ve laid in bed wondering, If I was to work abroad, how I would source materials n sh*t…

In the immediate, I’m soooo stressed, it’s a nightmare, I feel unprepared,

In reality, I’ve built huge trust with my clients over many years, They know I’m not taking the p**s and I’m as prepared as I can be..

I also don’t have the wondering how.. I’m in it, it’s happening and I’m living the moments I’ve fallen to sleep thinking about..

Next time it will be easier, for these clients or future ones.. (our details got taken by potential clients on our initial shopping day!.I was wearing my obvs!!

This wouldn’t be an issue in the uk and I came prepared with a new pad saver..
80g on the sander for hours on end is wearing the saver and head quickly!!

Can get the savers but not sure if they have any heads in stock 🥴

Plenty to get on with in the mean time but I just don’t wanna drive those hills 🤣

The first 48 hours of Project Madeira!!

So many logistics on this one.

The client tried to sort the paint & scaffolding but it seems nothing gets done over email!

Delayed flights, cars almost catching fire, tools that almost didn't make it!

Navigating an Island with REALLY STEEP roads and Language barriers in shops, we managed to get organised.

Work starts today.. 48 hours in with paints arriving later but scaffolding doesn't come till Friday
