We are delighted to share that we are one of 36 businesses taking part in the Buy Social Corporate Challenge - the world's largest commitment to social procurement, led by Social Enterprise UK.

Together, our group has now spent £864 million with social enterprise suppliers since 2016. In 2025 alone, that collective spend was with over 1,300 social enterprises.

This goes beyond transactional procurement, showing that creating positive impact for the communities and customers we serve and delivering commercial excellence go hand in hand.

From signage to coffee, catering to waste, soap to event space - social enterprises across the UK are providing us with great products and great services.

We are proud to see Unlocking Future Connections shortlisted at the Scottish Transport Awards for:

🏆 'Most Innovative Transport Project of the Year'
🏆 'Excellence in Social and Community Value'

Delivered in partnership with the Scottish Prison Service and our supply chain, the programme creates opportunities for people in custody through industry insight, accredited training and clear pathways into employment.

By bringing employers and training directly into prisons, we are helping to break down barriers to work, address skills shortages across infrastructure, and support sustainable futures beyond custody.

This recognition reflects the commitment and collaboration of our Transport Infrastructure Scotland team and partners in delivering meaningful, lasting social value.

Best of luck to all of the shortlistings tonight.

We are pleased to be piloting VoltSmart energy optimisation technology across Service Family Accommodation, supporting the UK Government’s Defence Housing Strategy and its ambition to modernise housing, improve living standards and deliver long-term value across the estate.

Working in partnership with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), this initiative has the potential to reduce energy consumption, improve the reliability of electrical systems and extend asset life, helping to enhance the lived experience of service personnel and their families.

This pilot demonstrates how practical, proven technologies can support more sustainable, resilient and efficient homes across the defence estate.

Today marks 30 years since the opening of the Prince of Wales Bridge, a vital UK highway link across the Severn Estuary that supports connectivity between England and Wales.

Over the past three decades, it has enabled the safe and efficient movement of people and goods and remained a critical part of the transport network. Its continued performance has relied on ongoing inspection, maintenance, and renewal work delivered by Specialist Bridges Inspections & Maintenance (SBIM) and Amey.

This milestone recognises the engineering achievement of its original design, alongside the dedication of those responsible for its operation, and the importance of robust asset management in extending its service life.

Happy 30th birthday to the Prince of Wales Bridge, and congratulations to the teams past and present who have kept it operating safely and reliably.

We are delighted that our ALARM2 system for Structures Examinations has been shortlisted for 'Best Use of Technology - Scotland' at the SPOTLIGHT Rail Awards.

The Rail Scotland Spotlight Awards celebrate the organisations, teams and individuals driving progress across Scotland’s rail network – recognising innovation, collaboration and excellence that deliver lasting improvements for passengers and communities.

ALARM2 (Assets to Logistics And Reporting Management system) is transforming how we carry out structures examinations – enabling real-time data capture on site and generating reports more efficiently for our client, Network Rail.

Developed collaboratively across Amey teams, it empowers engineers to identify issues faster, respond more proactively, and support safer, more resilient infrastructure. This shortlisting is a fantastic reflection of:

🚆 Our commitment to digital transformation, improving how we work on the frontline
🚆 The strength of our collaborative approach across Transport Infrastructure and Consulting
🚆 Our continued focus on safety and operational excellence across the rail network

Congratulations to everyone involved in developing and delivering ALARM2 – a great example of One Amey making a real difference.

A huge congratulations to our Structures teams and partners on winning 'Best Small Project' at the CIHT West Midlands Awards 2026. It was awarded for the Branston Bridge works in Burton upon Trent.

The award recognises outstanding transport and highway projects under £5m that are delivered on time, to budget, and make a meaningful contribution to the region - something this scheme exemplifies.

Even more impressively, this year’s judging placed a strong emphasis on how projects have been delivered during ongoing social and financial pressures, with a focus on protecting the health, safety and wellbeing of both workforce and customers.

We are incredibly proud to see the Branston Railway Bridge Strengthening Scheme recognised once again - taking home its second award in the Small Project category.

A fantastic achievement and thoroughly deserved by everyone involved.

We are now just one week away from this year’s Flood & Coast Conference in Liverpool.

Our team are at Stand G19; come along and hear more about how we:

🟣 Assess and model flood risk
🟣 Design climate-adaptive, nature-based solutions
🟣 Deliver and manage long-term resilience
