Extended a house in Bromley value £575K- 50% increase in floor area.
ARCHITECTURE
Responsible for projects including mixed developments values to £4M, alterations to restaurant value £15K, alterations to staff room value £6K, improvements to dwellings value to £150K. Responsible for site searches for community centre value £1M, industrial building value £500K, business plans for residential developments value up to £1.5M and new-build residential development value £160K. Retired and deregistered as a Chartered Architect in 2024.
DESIGN
Responsible for brochures value to £1K business cards, etc. Responsible for illustrations of proposed developments value to £1K.

ARB (Architects'' Registration Board), RIBA Royal Insitute of British Architects) and RIAS (Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland) have advised that I must make clear that I am now retired and deregistered and no longer an architect.
I MAY still develop properties - on Earth and in the Heavens.

Solve the housing crisis; turn greybelt back into greenbelt?
".....a Special Development Order granting the right to build up to eight stories on residential land within the Greater London built-up area, and within half a mile of any tube, commuter railway, or Elizabeth Line station. Greater London’s housing stock could double over a few decades.
Labour could couple this with new mechanisms for local approval of design codes, decided on by ordinary voters, not planners or architects. Low-density places like Stockwell and Peckham could become as beautiful as dense Bloomsbury and Marylebone.
To avoid a Nimby backlash, Labour could learn from Houston, where contiguous areas of the city (neighbouring blocks and streets) were allowed to opt out of a major city-wide upzoning if 51 per cent of the homeowners signed a petition to do so......" according to Sam Bowman

'Back in the day'
One of my early employments was a year in Bath working for dear old Vernon Gibbs Partnership as I trained for my RIBA Part3 and professional registration as an Architect.
Our bread & butter was getting planning for Little Chefs all over the South of England. Lots of site surveys, sometimes with snow showers but most memorable moment was driving out in Vernon's huge Audi 100 estate and hitting a deer. Car smashed up. We think a car behind stopped and the deer had vanished! ..but now they've gone. :(
