From blocks and a skip to sliding doors and sunny breakfasts. ☀️

This single-storey rear extension turned a dated back room into a bright, open-plan kitchen and living space. A full-width wall of glazing opens straight onto the new deck, a rooflight pulls daylight down over the kitchen, and a clean white render finish ties it all together.

Our favourite part of the job? Mid-build, the clients surprised the team with a homemade skip cake, rubble and all, with “Great Job So Far!” on top. 🎂 We’ve had plenty of thank-yous over the years, but never one this edible.

Two floors, two moods.

Downstairs, deep green panelling, brass pendants and warm oak set the tone for a lower ground floor built for evenings in: pool table, kitchenette, a cinema-style lounge and a dartboard hidden behind a panelled door. Upstairs, the drawing room goes the other way, with soft blush walls, restored mouldings and full-height glazing pulling in the garden light.

Same house, completely different energy, and every detail finished to last.

From timber frame to family kitchen 🏗️➡️🏡

This one started with bare joists and a lot of measuring. It finished as a bright, open-plan kitchen with a glazed rear extension that pulls light right through the house.

On one project, a moody bathroom in warm mauve with brushed brass fittings, vertical white metro tiles and a classic black and white octagon floor. On the other, a calm, light-filled top floor: panelled bathrooms with a roll-top bath and walk-in shower, a loft bedroom under twin skylights with fitted eaves storage, and a shaker kitchen finished in Carrara marble with a Belfast sink.

This Victorian terrace got a full refresh, starting with a glazed rear extension. Slim-framed bifold doors and a glass roof pull light deep into the kitchen and dining space and open it straight onto the garden.

Upstairs, the bedrooms keep their original charm. Restored fireplaces, deep cornicing and tall sash windows sit alongside bespoke built-in shelving, fitted wardrobes and plantation shutters, giving each room a clean, crafted finish that lets the owners’ personality take centre stage.

Where the garden becomes part of the house.

This rear extension was all about one idea: removing the line between inside and out. Floor-to-ceiling sliding glazing runs the full width, so when the doors open, the kitchen, dining and living spaces flow straight onto the terrace.

Concealed LED lighting sits within the ceiling line, carrying a warm glow through the room and out towards the garden after dark. Matching porcelain tiles inside and out keep the transition seamless underfoot.

Bright and open by day, calm and atmospheric by night.
