We recently completed the second phase of works on this project utilizing an IKO built-up felt roofing system. While it turned out to be a nice job, the process was challenging due to the initial contractor going into administration. I'm sure many can relate to similar experiences in the industry. Great to revisit this completed roofing project 18 months on at Leisure United’s Bobby Moore Sports Hub, now fully established with Axter’s BioSolar system. Exciting Update: Axter BioSolar Roof Installed at New Build School in Hemel Hempstead

Recently, we finalized the installation of an innovative Axter BioSolar roof at a new build school in Hemel Hempstead. Our work encompassed fitting the Axter Wilotekt hot melt roofing system, incorporating inverted insulation, and applying a mineral finish to the perimeter upstands.

This cutting-edge roofing solution offers top-tier waterproofing and longevity, serving as the foundation for the BioSolar element, which was integrated separately. By merging green roofing with solar technology, the system champions sustainability, biodiversity, and energy efficiency—making it an optimal choice for contemporary educational establishments.
