I’m a fan of Michael Harding paints for their excellent colours and high pigment content .
This used to be standard across the industry but no longer. good paint is now a premium product.
My aunt was a painter in Paris from the Fifties onwards. I inherited her oil paints – these little beauties are 40-50 years old and not only still usable but are very fine quality. I occasionally find old tubes in charity shops, sadly not too often. If you’re lucky enough to do so, don’t be put off by their grunginess. Beauty comes from within!
