Dhakshina UK is found by one of the most talented dance teachers in the UK who is recognized by the name Chitra Lakshmi. Chitra Lakshmi is a reputed dancer and a well-known choreographer of Indian dancing. Her charismatic personality and determination in teaching dance has earned her a great reputation. She has also received global recognition throughout her years in the field of teaching dance fo

r her excellence in presenting dances to a high quality. Recently Dhakshina has emerged as the biggest socio-cultural organization of the Malayalees outside England. In spite of its humble beginnings, Dhakshina UK has now grown into an association with more than 50 active members including dance students. The new generation of artists and assistants are constantly coming up with innovative ideas to drive the establishment forward. Dhakshina established itself in 2008, with performances by the students of Chitra Lakshmi in an international show based in Kerala, with a turnout of more than 500 people. We now welcome malayalee families in London to make Dhakshina UK a bigger and an even better organization. The main purpose and aim of Dhakshina is to promote and strongly encourage young talents to become our members and to experience the passion the organisation has towards dance. We welcome you all to join us in our future celebrations and support our organisation by your prayers and blessings to drive this establishment forward.
