Our Energy team has taken delivery of a number of new 4x4 MEWPs to support our work on the ESB Overhead Line Framework contract, helping our distribution crews operate safely and efficiently across a wide range of terrains.

As we enter into another storm season with ESB, it is critical that Murphy provide our overhead line crews with the safest tools and systems of work to get customer's power back on in challenging conditions.

A standout feature of these vehicles is the innovative "Harness On" safety system, which prevents basket operation unless the operator is correctly clipped onto their harness. This additional layer of protection reflects our continued commitment to enhancing safety through innovation and investing in the wellbeing of our people.

As the CIF Safety Campaign comes to a close today, we're proud to have once again supported the initiative as a Gold Sponsor.

This year's theme highlighted the simple but vital actions that keep our industry safe every day.

Over the past two weeks, the campaign aligned with our Murphy One Winter events across Ireland, where we focused on safety, wellbeing and health awareness. This included PSA testing for team members, welcoming Marian Deasy's Live for Lorcan campaign to Whitegate Refinery, and hosting visits from the CIF team at Dublin Port and Ballyroe Solar Farm in Cork.

While the campaign finishes today, its message shouldn't. Let's continue the conversation, look out for one another, and keep safety at the heart of everything we do.

Catering for creepy crawlies 🐞🐛🪲🐜

Our project team at EGL1 invited pupils from the local Ribbon Academy to assemble bug hotels that will encourage biodiversity on site.

The students split into two groups and competed against each other to see who could complete their bug hotel the fastest. This included searching for leaves and twigs to decorate the hotels; they even invited several large spiders into their new residences!

We're proud to see the Saunders Pedestrian & Cycle Bridge in Mullingar recognised with the Constructional Steelwork – Civil Works award at the Irish Steel Awards.

Spanning 40 metres across the Royal Canal, this weathering steel footbridge is a great example of the collaboration, expertise and dedication that went into delivering a high-quality piece of infrastructure for the local community.

This award is a testament to the hard work of everyone involved in the project, from design and engineering through to construction and delivery.

The bridge's complex geometry, extensive full pe*******on butt welding, and significant volume of fabricated platework presented considerable manufacturing challenges, making this recognition a reflection of the skill, expertise and dedication of the entire team.

Well done to all involved on this well-deserved recognition!
