🚨 THREE NEW NASC GUIDANCE DOCUMENTS ARE ON THE WAY! 🏗️📚

The NASC is set to release three new guidance documents covering key areas of workforce development:
🔹 EG2 – Adult Work Experience Guidance 👷
🔹 EG3 – Funding and Grants 💷
🔹 EG4 – Best Practice Recruitment Methods 🤝

All three tackle the same challenge from different angles: how scaffolding businesses find, fund and develop the people they need. 👥📈
There’s more to come too, with an updated SG20 – Consultation and Participation with the Workforce also due. 🔄

⚠️ Vibration is one of those risks that does its damage slowly.

🦺 Health and Safety Executive is running a free webinar on vibration risk management on 21st October, covering what the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005 require, when monitoring is actually worth doing, and how to build prevention-led controls. There will also be a Live Q&A with HSE specialists and CPD certificate for attendees.

💻 This webinar pairs well with NASCs SG11 Dust, Vibration and Noise, the updated NASC guidance issued in June, which covers all three hazards and the practical steps to reduce them.

🦺 This is what the NASC - National Access and Scaffolding Confederation Work Experience Pledge looks like in practice.

Sean Doyle Scaffolding Ltd. hosted nine young people for a full day on a live project at 10 Salisbury Square in the City of London. A presentation on where a scaffolding career can lead, a tour of the site, a tower build demonstration from the project manager and site supervisor, K'Nex and VR activities, and a one to one chat with their Contracts Director for every single delegate.
Another open day is planned before the end of the year.

🏗️JR Scaffold Services delivered bespoke scaffolding for the re-insulation and re-cladding of the 275kV building at Cockenzie Power Station, working for Luddon Construction and Scottish Power Energy Networks on a £1.6m contract.

No diesel machinery allowed on site. Materials handled below shoulder height and raised slowly to avoid any risk near live transformers. Every section erected and dismantled inside a fixed power outage window.⚡🏗️
Three years of planning, 11 months on site, and it landed on time.
