Repairs to toilet 🚾 in Petts wood

Customer rung me to say say her toilet was coming away from the wall & leaking from back of toilet & the flush was broken & toilet was moving from the floor so lots of issues 🚨

This is a very old toilet, isolated water to toilet carefully removed toilet from wall & floor

Stripped out cistern & toilet of all old components some of the bolts were so rusty I had to carefully cut them off

Supplied & installed list below 👇

New bottom entry fill valve
New flush Syphon
New toilet handle
New toilet pan connector
New WC Close Coupling Kit

Supplied & installed new fixing to wall for the top toilet cistern & to the floor for the toilet pan

Supplied & installed new sealant around toilet where needed

Turned water back on & fully tested toilet 🚻

Customer toilet is now safe to use & fully secure happy times 💩 🧻 💦

Customers tap 🚰 was leaking 💦 & very hard to turn on & off

Isolated water remove removed Old tap, cleaned up Area then supplied & installed brand new tap turn motor back on & fully tested

No more leaks 💧 will be happy 😂 saving water happy days

Shed repair in Petts wood

Removed old rotten wooden roof & roof felt

Supplied & installed extra Wooden timbers to strengthen Shed & Roof removed any old nails & screws

Supplied & installed new wooden plywood roof I always use plywood as it’s so much stronger & will last a long time

Supplied & installed black roofing felt including roof felt adhesive & nails

Once roofing was completed I supplied & installed timber trims around the front of shed & added a diamond trim on front with a bit of leftover plywood

Cleaned up & remove removed & disposed of all rubbish

Customer is going to paint the shed & trims in cuprinol in colour willow

existing customer in Petts wood  installing new fencing on driveway

Customer asked us to bring the side garden forward to create more space for a Paving area

Supplied & installed all fencing materials including closeboards, concrete gravel boards, concrete posts, pre ordered made to size gate

As the fence line was on an angle we installed two post side-by-side and twisted one of them & filled in the gap where they joined with cement so it was seamless we also installed concrete post for the gate so it will last and stay stronger for a long time the whole job tied in with the original fencing running along the next door neighbours

Removal of an old sorting office for the postal service in Petts wood .. unfortunately this had to be demolished as it had begun to rot & no longer any good for storing … removed & disposed of afterwards.

Petts Wood originally housed a local sorting office and delivery hub. Serving the expanding interwar and post-war suburban developments, local postal operations were historically overseen by the Orpington head post office before being handled from this specific hub for the community.

before the Petts Wood sorting office was established, mail for the area was routed through Orpington. As the area grew rapidly after the opening of the Petts Wood railway station in 1928, the resident's association pushed for their own distinct postal identity.The site in Petts Wood acted as the base for local postmen who sorted and delivered mail on foot and bicycle to the surrounding roads. Over the years, as postal operations were centralized and automated, the sorting room ceased operations, and the building was repurposed.

Repairing and rebuilding a old a vintage bay window in Petts wood for one of my regular customers

This window is very old and very delicate lead glass stained window in it a lovely pattern very unusual shape

Carefully Cut out any rotten timber where needed, treated all rotten timber with wet rot wood hardener
Filled with a 2 part filler and Sanded down whole window area

Once preparation was completed I Primed the whole window ready for painting

Wow 🤩 totally different l👀k amazing

Cut out rotten timber sill and supply and install new timber treated all remaining rotten timber with wet rot wood hardener
Filled and Sanded down whole window area

Once preparation was completed I Primed bare wood ready for painting

Painted concrete window sill in sandtex smooth white paint

Installing a  bespoke vanity unit 

🤩 wow this vanity unit was beautiful  it’s solid & professionally handmade

It was from a company called wood 🪵 Wood&Duck

Isolated water uninstalled and removed Old vanity unit supplied and installed new piping and altered pipe where needed,
Measured and marked up and cut holes for sink waste and tap Whole to top of unit and made holes to accommodate the sink waste and isolate in valves for the water reinstalled old sink and tap into new wooden vanity unit
Customer wanted to reuse the sink and tap 🚰

Cleaned up and disposed of of all rubbish
