How satisfying are these Victorian shutters? They had been screwed shut and we restored them after installing a new French door by , made of timber and double glazing.

Walk through our Grade-II Listed flat renovation in a Victorian townhouse in South Kensington, recently completed after two years of design and construction. The main move is the creation of a new open-plan kitchen and living room, made possible by fire-rated glass partitions. The flat is acoustically insulated, the new windows are double-glazed and the historical features are restored.

Visualisation of a kitchen we designed for a house extension in Kensal Green, London. We have sought with the client to balance traditional and modern styles. Air is extracted through the hob and sent outside via a duct in the wall. The cupboards have clear glass roofs to let sky light in and fluted glass fronts to subtly blur their contents. The rounded corners make the design humane and durable, while the brass hardware and porcelain sink bring warmth and brightness.
