🏡 You Don't Need A Big Frontage To Make A Big Difference 🏡

This front driveway was a patchwork of cracked slabs, old setts and weeds — the sort of surface that's been patched up a few too many times.

We took it all up and laid a single, consistent block paved surface with a neat charcoal edge and a proper crossing down to the pavement.

Same size. Same shape. Completely different first impression 👌

This project pairs a large-format grey porcelain patio with white rendered raised beds and low-level LED lighting set into the walls and the steps.

✨ From Cracked Concrete To Crisp Herringbone ✨

Old poured concrete has a habit of doing exactly this — cracking along the joints, staining up and sinking in patches.

We broke the lot out, excavated down to depth, laid a fresh sub-base and finished with charcoal block paving in a 90-degree herringbone, framed by a light contrasting border.

Herringbone isn't just a look. Laid at 90 degrees, the blocks interlock and spread the weight of a vehicle across the whole surface, which is exactly why it's the pattern we use on driveways.

🌿 A Garden Designed Around How You Use It 🌿

Not every garden needs to be mostly lawn.

Here the owners wanted somewhere low-maintenance they could actually walk around, with plenty of room for furniture and a clear route down to the garden room at the end.

So we laid block paving in a 90-degree herringbone across most of the space, framed a central lawn with a charcoal border, and edged the whole thing with planting beds and lighting.

🚗 Sloped Driveway? We Can Help 🚗

The falls have to be worked out so water runs away from the house rather than towards it. Levels at the garage threshold have to be spot on. And the laying pattern has to be strong enough to cope with a car braking on a gradient.
