Rear extension and full renovation of a Victorian terrace in Greenwich, SE10.

A small, closed-off kitchen at the back of the house is now one open space with rooflights and steel-framed doors to the garden. Swipe for the before and afters.

→ Drainage reconfigured and upgraded
→ Rear extension with steel-framed glazed doors and rooflights

A closer look inside this recently completed Victorian refurbishment.

In this project, we focused on preserving the original character while upgrading the space for modern living - with bespoke joinery, traditional finishes and structural improvements throughout.

This recently completed Victorian refurbishment focused on restoring the character of this three-storey home while carefully upgrading it for modern living.

Over five months, we carried out structural and cosmetic works throughout the property, including forming a structural opening between the dining and living rooms to create a more connected layout, creating a first-floor launderette, and refurbishing the existing internal doors to retain their original character.

Original period features were preserved and enhanced, traditional Victorian floor tiling was installed with period-appropriate detailing, bespoke alcove cabinetry was built, professional wallpapering completed, and the timber floors were sanded and lacquered to bring them back to life.

What began as a tired detached garage has become a stunning part-single, part-two-storey extension - carefully designed to complement the original home while delivering the comfort and function this South London family needed.

👷‍♂️ What we did:
•⁠ ⁠Demolished the old garage and chimney breasts
•⁠ ⁠Rebuilt with precision, using matching pantile roofing and timber windows
•⁠ ⁠Added a first-floor side extension to create a brand-new bathroom
•⁠ ⁠Created a bespoke utility room (reusing existing kitchen units!)
•⁠ ⁠Delivered a bright, modern family living space with full garden access
•⁠ ⁠Integrated modern features like underfloor heating and a ceiling flat extractor hob
