What makes a café feel truly social?

Mokaccino — our latest project in Braintree — explores this through space, atmosphere, and everyday rituals inspired by Italian café culture 🇮🇹

Set within a wider regeneration scheme, the design reimagines a corner unit as an open, welcoming destination.

Key moves:
• Opening the façade to engage directly with the street
• Placing the bar at the centre as a social anchor
• Using bespoke rattan ceiling arches to express identity and rhythm
• Creating a balance between energy and calm throughout the day

From quick morning coffees to slow evening dining, the space is designed to support different ways of gathering.

✨ Happy Chinese New Year everyone! ✨

We’re pleased to share our recently completed Concept Design for Lotus Garden, Chinatown London; a project that reinterprets a historic Chinatown restaurant through a contemporary architectural lens. Inspired by the building’s iconic pagoda roof and the atmosphere of 1980s Hong Kong dining culture, the design combines heritage references with modern materials, lighting, and spatial strategies to create an immersive and refreshed dining experience. Through façade enhancement, interior transformation, and carefully crafted material and lighting interventions, the proposal aims to renew a familiar local landmark while celebrating cultural continuity and evolving urban dining experiences.

Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid role for a Part 1 Architectural Assistant located in Brent Cross, London. The Architectural Assistant will support the team by producing high-quality technical drawings, assisting with architectural designs, and communicating with consultants. Daily tasks include drafting architectural plans, creating visual presentations, and communicating effectively with team members and clients.

Requirements
• Proficiency in Technical Drawing and Architectural Drawings
• Strong skills in Architecture and Architectural Design
• Effective Communication and Presentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• Familiarity with relevant software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Rhino ) are essential
• English language proficiency

Desirable

• mandarin language proficiency
• Previous experience in a design studio or architectural firm is a plus
• Micro-Station experience

Spanning 3,000m², this thoughtfully crafted space blends interior design, furniture design, and graphic wayfinding, ensuring a seamless and elegant travel experience. Designed for comfort and functionality, it offers a refined yet intuitive environment for travelers.

Designed for flexibility and high-energy experiences, the space features movable booths, immersive lighting, and dynamic event capabilities—blurring the line between architecture and atmosphere.

🔹 Lighting: LED + laser for an immersive experience
