Manchester Town Hall | Albert Square, Manchester

Manchester Town Hall is one of the UK's most iconic civic buildings and a remarkable example of Neo-Gothic architecture. Originally completed in 1877, the Grade I listed landmark is currently undergoing a major restoration programme to preserve it for future generations.

Originally valued at £328.3 million and now progressing at £524 million, the project reflects the scale and complexity of restoring such an important historic building.

WBD Group was proud to provide Temporary Works Design, delivering practical engineering solutions that supported the safe refurbishment of this protected structure while preserving its historic character.

With completion anticipated in 2027, we're proud to have contributed to the restoration of one of Manchester's most significant landmarks.

The Mill | Ipswich Waterfront

The Mill has reached an important milestone, with the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) approving the cladding replacement works.

As one of Ipswich's most recognizable waterfront developments, this marks another positive step towards delivering a safer, fully compliant residential development for the local community.

WBD Group is proud to support Ipswich Mill Investments, providing Permanent Works Design, Temporary Works Design, and Façade Consultancy throughout the remediation programme.

We're delighted to be working alongside Gen2Tek, AHP Architects, Paul Hardy, and the wider project team as the development moves into its next phase.

Brentford Waterside | Brentford, London TW8

Coordinating the infrastructure beneath a landmark regeneration project

Brentford Waterside is a major mixed use regeneration development transforming a 4.79 hectare riverside site into a vibrant new neighborhood. The scheme comprises 11 buildings ranging from 4 to 15 storeys, a two storey basement, more than 900 new homes, together with retail, leisure and community spaces while carefully integrating retained heritage assets and historic public routes.

On developments of this scale, successful construction begins below ground. Multiple utility networks, drainage systems and building services must be carefully coordinated within a constrained footprint before work starts. As the project progresses, changes below ground become increasingly complex, costly and disruptive to program delivery.

WBD Group is proud to provide Below Ground Services Coordination, delivering a BIM led approach that brings clarity, coordination and confidence to one of the most technically demanding stages of the project.

Twelve Trees Park is one of East London's largest regeneration developments, creating a vibrant new neighborhood with thousands of new homes, public open space and community facilities.

WBD Group is proud to support Berkeley Group through a range of specialist engineering services, with Facade Consultancy at the heart of our involvement alongside Bid Services, Independent Structural Peer Review, Temporary Works Consultancy and Building Safety Regulator (BSR) Compliance Checking.

From early technical input and independent design assurance to façade engineering, temporary works and regulatory compliance, our role helps coordinate the building envelope, support safe construction and deliver practical, buildable engineering solutions for this major development.

Stratford Waterfront, E20 London

WBD Group supported the Stratford Waterfront development through temporary works design checks across multiple construction elements including crane bases, crane grillages and jump core stability systems.

The project forms part of the wider transformation of the former London 2012 Olympic Games site into a major cultural and residential destination.

Embassy Gardens, Nine Elms

WBD Group provided temporary works engineering support for the Embassy Gardens development in London.

Our involvement included scaffolding systems, crane bases, piling platforms, hoist structures and structural design checks to support safe and coordinated project delivery across this large-scale mixed-use development.
