“Crisis solved — and three new valves later…”

So, about that DIY emergency from Part 1…

We arrived, checked all three valves, and yes — they were completely gone.

We replaced the washing machine valves, the dishwasher valve, and made sure everything was watertight and easy to shut off.

Sometimes the quickest fix is calling someone who does this every day.

Ever wondered what it takes to replace a concealed shower valve?

Yesterday we attended a job where the client was experiencing low water flow and inconsistent temperature in their shower.

The issue was with a concealed shower valve installed behind the tiles. We first tried to find replacement parts, but unfortunately they were no longer available.

In cases like this, the best solution is to replace the entire valve.

This meant carefully opening the wall, carrying out some pipework adjustments, and installing the new concealed shower body.

For now, we’ve left the installation protected and covered with plastic to keep it temporarily waterproof, until the tiler reinstalls the tiles.

Once the tiling is completed, we’ll return to fit the faceplate and finish the installation properly.

Another job moving forward, ready for the next stage.
