In super-prime residential work, the complexity is rarely structural. It is in the interfaces.

Where joinery meets stonework. Where a ceiling recess has to align with a structural beam. Where lighting, services and bespoke architectural elements all occupy the same tight zone. These are the details that get negotiated on site when they have not been resolved in advance.

Our Revit workflow exists to resolve them early. Coordinated, tested and communicated to specialist subcontractors before work begins.

Wimbledon Village | 18 Months In

Eighteen months into a subterranean refurbishment of this scale, the honest answer is that delivery is never straightforward. Basements present unknowns. Design develops and iterates as construction progresses. The coordination between architect and contractor has to be constant, and it has to be trusted.

One of the standout challenges on this project has been the staircase. Sweeping from basement level to second floor, constrained by the rear roofscape dormer above, it required a level of technical precision and collaborative problem-solving that goes well beyond a standard residential build. A genuine triumph of technology and craft.

Eighteen months in, the client is happy. That is the measure that matters.

The difference between a project that looks right on paper and one that feels right on completion is usually delivery.

Good delivery means the finished space reflects the design intent, not a contractor's interpretation of it. It means joinery details and material transitions are resolved before anyone is on site. It means the client is not being asked to make stressful decisions under construction pressure.

Design intent is easy to lose at procurement, at value engineering, at every point where someone has to fill a gap. Keeping it intact is the work.

Station Road, Thames Ditton.

A completed residential refurbishment and wraparound extension, focused on improving spatial clarity and strengthening the connection between house and garden.

The project reworks the ground floor to create a more cohesive living environment, supported by a carefully considered internal layout and a restrained architectural approach throughout.

A calm, functional home designed around modern family life.

Scaffold down. Facade revealed.

There is a moment on every project when the building stops looking like a construction site and starts looking like a home. At Wimbledon Village, that moment is arriving.

Below ground, the basement level is fully watertight. Bespoke roof lights are in, positioned to bring natural daylight directly into the pool and spa spaces below the future landscaped garden. Above, kitchen cabinetry is going in under protection as the fit-out sequence continues floor by floor.

The approach is deliberate: complete top-down, progressively closing out each level. At second floor, finish decorations are well underway.

A lot of careful sequencing has brought this to where it is. The next few weeks will see it come together quickly.

Black and white, then colour - revealing the shift from existing structure to a more refined architectural expression.

The completed scheme is defined by balance and restraint. Openings are carefully proportioned, materials are used consistently, and light is allowed to move cleanly through the space.

The wraparound extension strengthens the relationship to the garden, while the internal reconfiguration creates a calm, cohesive sequence of rooms.

A project shaped less by gesture, and more by control - where the architecture is felt in the clarity of space, material and light.
