Another huge weekend delivered, as our team worked hard to ensure 70,000 customers had a fun and safe time at Boomtown Festival! 🎪 We deployed over 200 staff across the event days, looking after the three stages, Grand Central, Hydro XI and Lions Den, as well as overseeing East Gate, where we welcomed over 18,000 customers onto site.
This was our second year at Boomtown, and the team have delivered all over again, with many of our staff saying how much they enjoyed working a festival, who knows what could be on the horizon for 2027, it's an exciting time ahead.
A special thank you to Phil Garnett for leading on the project, along with Matt Delaney, Scott Broadway, Phil Caley, Douglas Lethbridge, and to the rest of our team on the ground who make events like this such a huge success! 👏 The feedback we received from so many different stakeholders only goes to show the real difference your attitudes and professionalism make.

🏃 Birmingham European Athletics 2026 ✅
Another busy weekend delivered, as our Midlands team supported the Birmingham European Athletics across the city centre. Our teams were on hand at the start and finish lines, as well as across all three fan zones in Victoria Square, Chamberlain Square and Centenary Square, welcoming around 10,000 people a day through each site.
Between hundreds of runners competing from across Europe and thousands of spectators filling Birmingham City Centre, it was a fantastic weekend of athletics, with a silent disco adding some extra fun to the fan zones!
This was the first deployment of its kind for the team, and a special thank you to Haroon for leading on it. And to every member of staff on the ground across the weekend, we say it a lot, but we could not do this without you!

🎶 Summer Concerts Somerset House 2026 ✅
Another year, another successful run of concerts delivered at Somerset House!
Our teams were back for 11 concerts across 11 consecutive days, with a different artist taking to the stage each night, which meant different demographics and different approaches, but what didn’t change was our team ensuring everyone had a fun and safe time!
From overseeing the entrances and search operations, to delivering backstage and dressing room security and operating in the front of stage barrier our teams did it all.
A huge thank you to our incredible team, who delivered night after night in a busy and demanding environment. We say it a lot, but we could not do this without you!

🎪 Alexandra Palace Summer Series 2026 ✅
The curtain has come down on an excellent run of shows at Alexandra Palace and Park!
From The Streets to The Maccabees, Super Furry Animals, Wet Leg, Richard Ashcroft to The Kaleidoscope Festival, plus two football screenings along the way, our teams were on hand throughout to ensure the tens of thousands attending had a fun and safe time across a real variety of events.
A massive thank you to our team on the ground, who played a key role in delivering great customer service across the whole series. We say it a lot, but we could not do it without you!

Congratulations to our Reward and Recognition Winner Ms. Beverley Wilson
“Bev went out of her way on Friday 5th June at Coventry stadium while working the Take That Show by helping an old lady who had a walking disability and was using walking sticks who had become breathless while walking around the stadium. Bev listened to the lady and her family then helped her get to the correct entry point and making sure she got to her seat inside. Bev has previously worked for the stadium so she knew the shortest way to the entry point.
That wasn't the only person she helped that shift by taking them to the correct entry points or by providing guidance to the paying customers.
Great work Beverley, your actions made a real difference to a handful of individuals, and that is what this is all about, small actions that make a big difference!

🎉 Congratulations Jeffrey Kwatend-Acheampong on your promotion to Event Manager! 🎉
Jeff joined SES Group at the end of 2021 and has worked his way up ever since, progressing through the supervisor ranks before completing his Level 5 qualification to step into the role of Event Manager.
Over the years, Jeff has run a wide range of deployments and played key roles across our operations, most recently leading the team at Trafalgar Square during Pride in London.
Congratulations Jeff on a well deserved promotion, we can't wait to see what the future holds for you! 👏

🏏 T20 2026 | Utilita Bowl ✅
That's a wrap on this year's T20 season at the Utilita Bowl!
Across the season we delivered 7 games, with our teams covering entrance gates, the hospitality area and pitch protection, all to ensure tens of thousands of fans had a fun and safe time.

🎤 My Chemical Romance Wembley Stadium ✅
Three unforgettable nights at the home of live music, as My Chemical Romance brought over 70,000 fans a night to Wembley Stadium.
With more than 900 SES Group staff deployed across the three shows, our teams looked after the front of stage barrier, dressing room security, vehicle access and artist movements, all to make sure everyone attending had a fun and safe time!

🤘 Outbreak Festival 2026 ✅
What a weekend for our Manchester team, who looked after front of stage at this year's Outbreak Festival headlined by Bring Me The Horizon.
Our team managed the front of stage barriers across all stages, and they did an outstanding job. Special credit to those working in the barrier itself, where this truly unique event stands out with its dedicated front of stage diving platform. Not your average pit!
A huge thank you to the whole team, led by Daha Affi and Dave Bellas, for their hard work and professionalism all weekend.

🎪 Take That | Manchester ✅
The curtain has fallen on another incredible run of shows as SES Group supported Take That for the final date of their Circus Tour in Manchester.
This event marked a particularly special occasion for our team, as it saw our return to delivering concert operations at the Etihad Stadium for the first time in several years. It was great to be back helping to ensure a safe, secure and enjoyable experience for everyone in attendance.
From queue management and front-of-stage barrier operations to dressing room security, production support and backstage protection, our teams once again demonstrated their ability and attention to detail that underpin every SES Group deployment.
A huge thank you goes to every member of our team who contributed to the success of the event, you are what make events of this scale possible, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you do.
