A bit of sunshine always makes for a solid start on a new project. ☀️

A great way to kick off the week with works now underway on the installation of 291 contiguous piles using the open bore method. Early stages, but already shaping up nicely.

Our CFA rig is in action, setting the tone for what’s ahead, with the team making solid progress on site. Plenty more to come as we move through the piling phase.

Looking forward to seeing this one develop over the coming weeks.

A slightly different one for us on this project.

We were brought in to deliver a 21sqm substation base at Furzedown Primary School following a project variation. No piling on this one, but a detailed reinforced concrete build including formwork, steelwork and mass concrete pours.

Always good to take on something outside the usual scope. It shows the importance of being able to adapt and deliver to the requirements of each project, whatever that may be.

Really pleased with how this one turned out.

Photos show the works at various stages as the build progressed. All works were carried out in line with current health and safety standards at all times.

As 2025 comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on what has been a landmark year for Capital Piling.

From completing 340 projects across the south east, to investing in new plant and equipment, launching a long-needed brand refresh, and continuing to deliver high standards across every site - it’s been a year of real progress and growth.

We’re also incredibly proud of the feedback we’ve received along the way, with 17 five-star Google reviews in 2025 alone, reinforcing that our customers remain at the heart of everything we do.

None of this would be possible without the hard work of our team, the trust of our clients, and the support of our partners. Thank you for being part of the journey.

We’re proud to support LGDA FC ⚽

At Capital Piling, we believe in supporting organisations that make a real difference in their communities, and LGDA FC is a great example of that.

LGDA FC is a family-orientated club providing football in a safe and welcoming environment for female players of all backgrounds and abilities.

Since forming in 2019 with just nine players, the club has grown to four teams with over 60 registered players, focusing on developing confidence, skills and a genuine love for the game.

A special mention to Dotty, who was awarded Player of the Match by the opposing team in her most recent game. A fantastic achievement and a great example of the positive environment and sportsmanship the club encourages.

We’re delighted to sponsor LGDA FC and support the fantastic work being done by the coaches, volunteers, players and families involved. Clubs like this play a vital role in grassroots sport and creating positive opportunities for young people.

End of Year Reflections & Big Things Ahead

On Friday our whole team came together for our end of year review. It was a great chance to catch up, look back at everything we’ve achieved in 2025, and get ready for an even bigger 2026.

Coming straight off the back of the staff do on Thursday, the timing definitely made the end of the week more entertaining. 😅 The photos from both will show the full story - plenty of fun, plenty of energy, and the team spirit that makes this place what it is.

We’ve got exciting plans lined up for 2026, and we can’t wait to share more over the coming weeks.

Works include:

The installation of 9 no. SFA open bore piles, designed to provide deep foundation support for the upcoming structure.

This is followed by the construction of an 80sqm reinforced concrete slab, poured and finished.

Prior to piling, one full day of site preparation will be carried out to clear the area, set out the works, and ensure access and ground conditions are suitable for safe operations.

Another Great Job!

Installation of 18 SFA Open Bore Piles and 65sqm of RC Slab.

What makes this so great is its ideal for work in built-up or noise-sensitive areas. This technique produces less spoil and noise pollution, making it a greener piling method.

• 9 no. SFA open bored piles
• 23 sqm of reinforced concrete slab

Work was delivered to specification, on programme, and on time. This forms part of the ongoing substructure package for a residential development in Reading.

Project Update – Steel Cased Piles & RC Slab

As part of our latest works, we’ve successfully completed the installation of 16 no. 150mm diameter steel-cased driven piles along with a 57sqm reinforced concrete slab.

Why steel-cased driven piles?
They provide a reliable foundation solution where ground conditions require additional stability. By driving the steel casings into the soil, we achieve both strength and durability, ensuring load transfer is efficient and settlement is minimised.

Why the RC slab?
The reinforced concrete slab ties the system together, distributing loads evenly and giving the structure a robust platform to build upon.

This phase has been delivered safely, efficiently, and on programme — giving our client confidence that the project foundations are not just complete, but built to last.
