It's been another busy year for EE Installations and what a variety of work, including expanding the business to now be MCS approved for both solar PV installations and battery storage.

I'm pleased to announce that EE Installations are now an official myEnergi Libbi installer. This is more than a home battery system, it's a solar inverter which incorporates energy storage, allowing you to make the most of the energy you generate, but also enabling those without solar PV to make use of off-peak tariffs to store 'cheaper' energy to use at peak times. Available in two inverter sizes and up to 20kWh battery size, a Libbi system will be able to suit most domestic needs.

We're a big supporter of myEnergi and have installed countless Zappi EV chargers and Eddi solar diverters, and are very much looking forward to the expanded Ecosystem incorporating Libbi.

At EE Installations, we are constantly working to further our skills and enhance our knowledge to allow us to provide more services to our existing customers, and also to expand our reach to new customers.

In the last few weeks we have completed training in Solar PV installation, and also Electrical Energy Storage Systems (Battery Storage). When combined, these technologies allow you to make the best use of the energy that your home/business can generate, at the times that you want to use it. With the ever rising cost of energy, this can help to reduce your electricity bills, reduce your carbon footprint, and provide a level of independency from the grid to protect against fluctuations in both cost and supply.

Electric Vehicle charging grants are changing!

From April 2022, the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) have announced that the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS) will be expanded to those who live in rental/leasehold properties. However, the scheme will close for homeowners in properties such as bungalows, detached, semi-detached and terraced houses.

This aims to target homeowners who live in flats and people in rental accommodation (flats and single-use properties).

What this does mean is that any installation to a single-unit property needs to be completed by 31st March 2022, in order to file a claim for the current EVHS grant.

There are also planned changes to the Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS), in expanding it to provide more support for SMEs, small accommodation businesses and charities.

Another MyEnergi Zappi Electric Car charging point installed recently for a customer.

The customer chose the Zappi, due to their integration with planned solar generation and on site battery storage. This provides a futureproof system for further expansion as the installation develops.
