Hi I’m Charlotte Meadows and I am passionate about plants, garden design and delivering great and affordable results for my customers. I’ve always had a strong visual sense and came to gardening through studying Photography and Digital Imaging at Reading College. After graduating I worked for seven years as a photography assistant in the food and hospitality industry. I suppose horticulture is in

my blood – my family have run flower nurseries for several generations – which is why I decided to build on my design background and study Garden Design at Capel Manor. My strengths are a use of clean lines to contrast against soft borders and using plants to create drama in the garden.

Today I’m showing you how to divide snowdrops this can be done when they finish flowering in the spring when they’re in the green . Dig up the clump of snowdrops tease them apart into bundles and then simply plant in different parts of the garden free plants for next year.

Spring flowers Daffodils Narcissus ‘Tête-à-tête’ and Helleborus x hybridus are in my garden. I would recommend both of these for a spring garden. Very easy to look after and great for containers or flowerbeds . Tête-à-tête’

February late to early March is a good time to cut your ornamental grasses back .You can cut back, Calamagrastis, Miiscanthus, Molinia, Deschampsia, Panicum and Pennisetum. You cut them down to the ground and you will see new green shoots appearing in the spring ready for the new season. In the video, I am cutting Calamagrostis acutiflora 'karl foerster' these amazing grasses have great structure in the garden right through to winter.

Pruning Bush roses
Prune bush roses in the winter from December to early spring.
When pruning roses remove the dead , diseased and damaged.
Cut back the rose by half remove all the crossing branches..
Once prune the rose will have air to breathe and be ready for spring.
