⚡ Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) – This Is No Game ⚡
Myself and the team are often called in to provide second opinions on failed EICRs, and sadly our findings are frequently shocking and bleak.
One of the biggest issues we see in the industry is over-coding — making installations appear far more dangerous than they actually are. This creates unnecessary fear, inflated remedial costs, and a loss of trust in the trade.
As professional electricians, we invest thousands of pounds in ongoing training to stay fully up to date with the latest regulations. Our work is independently reviewed each year by NIC inspectors, who scrutinise our EICR reports to ensure:
• We are inspecting correctly
• We are coding accurately
• We are identifying genuine safety concerns
• We are not missing critical issues
The level of questioning and assessment during these inspections is extensive — and rightly so.
So here’s something to consider:
If you’re paying a very cheap price for an EICR, and that company needs to complete 4 or 5 reports a day just to cover their costs — question it.
🔌 Electrical Safety Is Personal to Me!! and that’s how I build my team
I am deeply passionate about electrical safety.
I test every property as if my own children were going to live there.
If I wouldn’t allow my kids to stay in that property — why should you or your tenants?
We don’t “pick faults out of the air”.
Every observation on our reports is:
• Backed by years of industry experience
• Supported by accurate testing
• Based on measured results, not guesswork
🎲 In Short: This Is NOT a Game
We don’t roll the dice.
We don’t make things up.
We methodically test every circuit, record every reading, and report only what the evidence supports.
