The outside is only half the story.

Open these wardrobes and you can see just how much thought has gone into making the space useful – hanging rails, shelving, drawers and separate storage areas, all configured around what actually needs to go in them.

We particularly like the internal lighting. It brings out the warm timber finish beautifully, but more importantly it means you can actually see what's hiding at the back of the wardrobe on a dark morning!

Good storage shouldn't just hold lots of stuff. It should make that stuff easy to find.

Loft rooms are brilliant spaces – but they do have a habit of giving you walls and ceilings that refuse to behave themselves.

This is where bespoke really earns its keep.

Rather than losing all that space beneath the sloping roof, this run of fitted wardrobes has been designed to follow it right to the top. Full-height storage where there’s room, carefully shaped cupboards where there isn’t, and a clean run of doors that makes the whole thing feel like part of the room rather than furniture that’s been squeezed into it.

A good example of working with the building rather than against it.

Good bespoke work shouldn’t shout for attention.

Across this project, the same design language has been used again and again: warm timber, clean floor-to-ceiling proportions, precisely routed vertical detailing and those distinctive recessed hand openings.

What we particularly like is the consistency.

Whether you’re looking at a pair of doors at the end of a room or a full-height run of cabinetry, everything clearly belongs to the same house. Nothing looks like it was added as an afterthought.

That consistency doesn’t happen by accident. It comes from thinking about the whole project rather than treating every cupboard or piece of furniture as a separate job.

For us, that’s a big part of what bespoke furniture is all about.

Lots of storage doesn’t have to mean lots of visual clutter.

One of the things we particularly like about this project is how much useful floor-to-ceiling storage has been incorporated while keeping everything calm, clean and consistent.

The cupboards make use of the full available height, but the simple timber finish and repeating vertical door detail stop them from feeling heavy. Even the hand openings have been designed into the doors, rather than adding conventional handles afterwards.

It’s a good example of what bespoke furniture can do particularly well: use awkward or otherwise wasted space while making the finished result feel like part of the building.

Practical? Definitely. But there’s no reason practical can’t look rather good too.

Sometimes it’s the smallest details that make the biggest difference.

At first glance, these are beautifully simple floor-to-ceiling timber doors. Look a little closer, though, and there’s rather more going on.

The repeated vertical routing gives the doors texture and character without making them fussy, while the hand openings are cut directly into the doors themselves. No handles to interrupt the lines and no unnecessary hardware competing with the timber.

It takes considerably more work to make something look this simple than you might imagine.

But when all the doors line up, the detailing is consistent and the finished joinery feels like it has always belonged in the house, it’s worth the effort.

There’s something very satisfying about a design detail that carries right through a home.

These floor-to-ceiling cupboards were designed to sit naturally within the architecture, with the same timber finish, finely routed door detail and understated hand openings repeated from one area to the next.

The result is plenty of practical storage without the rooms ever feeling dominated by cupboards.

And that’s one of the advantages of bespoke joinery. Rather than finding a piece of furniture to fit a space, you can design the furniture as part of the space in the first place.

Clean lines, consistent detailing and a place for everything. Just how we like it.

It’s the little details that finish the job.

Opening a wardrobe in a loft room shouldn’t mean peering into a dark corner trying to work out whether something is navy blue or black.

Integrated lighting illuminates the full height of this fitted wardrobe, including that awkward triangular space right up into the eaves.

It looks good, of course, but more importantly it makes the cupboard much nicer to use.

And when the door closes, it all disappears again.

Made for the room. Literally.

There’s something rather satisfying about fitted furniture that follows the exact shape of a loft ceiling.

Behind these clean panelled doors is storage designed to use the available height all the way up the roofline – while, when everything is closed, the whole installation feels simple and uncluttered.

That’s the trick really. Lots of storage without making the room feel like it’s full of storage.

Even the low bits can be useful.

One of the easiest areas to waste in a loft room is the space beneath the lowest part of the ceiling.

Not here.

A run of bespoke drawers provides plenty of accessible storage, finished with an oak top that follows the room neatly into the eaves.

No gaps filled with boxes. No awkward bits of furniture that nearly fit. Just storage designed for the space that’s actually there.
