The family of the late Dave Vaughan have asked us to announce details of his funeral service.

On April 2nd, David Vaughan of Parkend Road, Bream.

David was a loving husband to Michelle,
a devoted dad to Sarah, Natalie and Katie,
and a proud granddad to Savannah and Kaiden.

He shared his home and heart with Rolo, his loyal companion, who was never far from his side.

David was also a much-loved brother to Malcolm, Stephen and Sharon, and someone who meant so much to all who knew him.

He wasn’t just family — he was the centre of it.
Kind, steady, and full of quiet love, the sort of man you could always rely on.
His love will live on in the lives he shaped,
in the memories we hold, and in the family he was so proud of.
He will be deeply missed, but never, ever forgotten.

His funeral service will take place at St Paul's Church, Parkend on Friday 8th May at 12.15pm followed by a private committal.

Family flowers only please, donations in Dave's memory for the British Heart Foundation & the Great Western Air Ambulance (cheques made payable to Ian Watts & Son Donations Account please) may be placed in the donations box at the service or sent to Ian Watts & Son Funeral Directors, 26 Ridgeway, Yorkley, Lydney, Glos, GL15 4SE. Tel: 01594 562543.

Our hearts go out to his family/friends/work colleagues…… something so tragic makes you think about giving that person a hug or a kiss before they leave for work as you always expect them to come home XxX

It is with a heavy heart and extreme sadness that we announce the tragic and untimely passing of one of our own, Chris Workman (Worky).

Worky was a well-known, highly respected and much-loved face within the local footballing community.

He represented Lydney Town, Viney, Coleford and Bream in his playing career with many spectacular goals, trophies and accolades that will live long in the memory.

He first joined Bream at 14 years old and has been a stalwart at the club ever since. He has been a tireless organiser of youth, senior and veterans teams as well as fundraising events over that period and will be remembered with respect and affection by everyone he came into contact with.

As well as being an extremely talented player, he was truly inspirational in his management and coaching and his infectious attitude had a lasting effect on many of our present team.

Both on and off the field this infectious attitude made him a pleasure to be around and he always made himself available for help and advice to everyone.

As everyone who knew him will agree, he was a big character and the club is absolutely devastated by his passing.

Bream Amateurs Football Club would like to express our deepest condolences to Ali, Connor, Jess and all of his family at this difficult time.

He will forever be remembered as a legend at Bream Amateurs Football Club, and will be so sorely missed.

A teammate, captain, manager, friend, husband, father and so much more.

Rest in peace, Worky. 💙🖤
