A little lawn but a massive difference. Knowing what a lawn needs is key to a healthy lawn. The first picture is when a big lawn treatment company was “looking” after it. The second is after I’ve taken over the treatments and not just mowing it.

A few jobs from today and finally applying iron to the lawns in the nice weather to green up and kill off the moss

A much needed lawn renovation after the long cold and wet winter has resulted in a bad moss infestation. I started with iron to blacken the moss, a deep scarification to remove all the moss. Pre seed fertiliser and seed, topped with a covering of jacks magic compost using the compost spreader and all levelled out using the lute. All ready for the inevitable rain that we’ve had so much of.

Planted some seed at the weekend with the boys, they chose what they wanted and we planted them together, well I say together they soon got bored and wandered off for a snack. But they enjoyed what they did do.

Jobs from the week, trees felled and most of the lawns have had the first cut however most of them have suffered pretty badly with the cold wet winter and will all need a good scarification to remove the moss and give them all a good feed to get them back to their best
