What started as a single business has grown into a group of trusted roofing merchants serving customers across the UK through North West Roofing Supplies, North East Roofing Supplies and Scotia Roofing Supplies.

Over the past 25 years, we've expanded our branch network, strengthened supplier partnerships, welcomed new colleagues and, most importantly, built lasting relationships with the contractors, roofers and merchants who support us every day.

WE’RE HIRING – BRANCH OPERATIVE / CUSTOMER SERVICE – ST ANNES

North West Roofing Supplies is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and customer-focused team member to join our St Annes branch.

Perfect for someone who enjoys being involved in all areas of a busy roofing merchant environment.

You’ll be serving customers, answering phones, preparing orders, assisting with forklift operations, and supporting the branch team day to day.

This is a full-time Monday to Friday role with no weekend working or Saturday mornings.

We offer a great rate of pay along with the opportunity to develop your skills and progress within a fast-growing independent roofing merchant.

Key Responsibilities
•⁠ ⁠Serving customers at the trade counter and over the phone
•⁠ ⁠Providing product advice and processing orders, quotes, and invoices
•⁠ ⁠Assisting with forklift operations when necessary
•⁠ ⁠Helping pick and pack customer orders
•⁠ ⁠Supporting the Branch Manager and wider branch team with daily operations
•⁠ ⁠Delivering excellent customer service at all times

What We’re Looking For
•⁠ ⁠Previous experience within a roofing supplies or builders’ merchant environment preferred
•⁠ ⁠Valid forklift licence preferred
•⁠ ⁠Good knowledge of roofing and building materials
•⁠ ⁠Organised, dependable, and able to work in a busy trade environment
•⁠ ⁠Strong communication and customer service skills
•⁠ ⁠A positive attitude and willingness to get involved in all areas of the branch

But the reality is, everyone handles stress differently — and sometimes people are carrying more than others realise.

Long hours, deadlines, weather delays, financial pressure, physical exhaustion… it all adds up.

Mental Health Awareness Week isn’t about having all the answers.

It’s about making conversations feel more normal.

Checking in with your workmates.

And creating environments where people feel comfortable speaking openly if they need to.

Sometimes a simple “How are things going?” can go a long way.
