Another rental bathroom completed in bollington this week ✅

What we have completed…Old shower inclosure removed ✅ Old shower valve cut out and replaced for a bar shower 🚿 Old shower tray was removed 🔨 Floor re boarded with 12mm ply wood 🪵 ✅ re boarded the wall with waterproof cement board ✅ installed new shower tray and inclosure ✅ installed water proof pvc wet panelling boards as a replacement for tiles ✅

Here’s a job we have completed this week

The Tennant at this property noticed water seeping through the concrete into the garden and the water meter constantly spinning when there is no demand of water inside the property

After two days of digging we pinpointed an old lead water main that had corroded in multiple places

What was completed by AJL
Cut out the old lead water main ✅
Replaced with alkathene plastic pipe ✅
Re bedded the trench with sand ✅
Backfilled the rest of the trench with the material that was removed ready for concreting when the clay had dried out ✅

Here is our apprentice Harry who is currently 17 and is a first year gas engineer apprentice

On this job he is stripping down an ideal logic for an annual service and also a gas safety that we are renewing

This strip down service includes…
replacing the burner seal ✅
cleaning the condensate trap ✅
cleaning the Venturi on the fan ✅
agitating and washing out the burner ✅
Draining and recharging expansion vessel ✅

Another system converted to a combination boiler! All aspects covered by our team -including wiring and brickwork🧱

What was involved:
•remove old system, including tanks, boiler, cylinder and radiators!👌🏼
•install new boiler, pipework and controls!🌡️
-including condensate pipe run over the loft, the old way wouldnt meet regulations!
•smart thermostat… Turn the heating on from Dubai, if you want😀
•all new radiators plus designer radiator relocation!💦

This is a great example, showing that little jobs can still be a pig🐷
As you can see the working space through the bath panel wasn’t great, but we got the job done!
-with minimal destruction to the bath panel…

30 second transformation for this shower enclosure!

- grout raked out🔨
- all surfaces and old sealants cleaned up✅
- grout replaced and everything put back as before👌🏼

Looks much better, but most importantly… Another leak fixed!

PART 1: rest will be put in a reel.

We don’t mind if taking pride in a job makes it take longer✅
This is a system conversion we’ve just completed!

Involving:
• relocating the boiler to the loft🪜
• thermostatic radiator valves (and lockshields)
on all radiators, bar one where the room thermostat is👌🏼
• upgraded gas pipe from 15-22mm, which required the landing floors to be lifted🔨
• wiring from old boiler location, to accompany the hive smart thermostat. Customer can now control the heating whilst they’re out⚡️
•new thermostatic bath shower mixer 🚿

So much more was done on this job!
