Have a little nosey inside ⛺

Because after a full day of dancing, walking and making the most of the festival, having a proper bed to fall into is a pretty lovely feeling.

What you’ll be doing: Whipping up 3 healthy, hearty meals a day to keep morale high. You’ll need to plan ahead and handle everything from carnivore cravings to creative vegan masterpieces. The catch: It’s a field. No ovens, no electricity for microwaves—just you, your ingredients, and gas burners. If you are easy-going, love the festival build atmosphere, and can chat about meal prep while keeping your cool outdoors, let’s talk

Job Description
Position: Contract Field Cook / Chef
Status: Self-Employed Contractor Location: On-site (Field/Build Location)
About the Role
We are looking for an adaptable, easy-going, and organized contract cook to provide catering for our festival crew during a glamping tent build. The kitchen is the literal and emotional heart of our site—a place for the crew to refuel, relax, and connect. You will be responsible for planning, prepping, and executing three nutritious meals a day under rustic, outdoor conditions.
Key Responsibilities
• Meal Planning & Budgeting: Design a weekly menu that is nutritious, filling, and cost-effective, taking into account the physical nature of the crew’s work.
• Outdoor Catering: Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily using limited field equipment (gas burners only; no ovens or microwaves).
• Dietary Management: Cater safely and creatively to varied dietary requirements, with a specific focus on high-quality vegan and vegetarian options.
• Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic outdoor kitchen environment in compliance with food safety standards.
• Hub Host: Maintain a welcoming, positive atmosphere in the kitchen/dining area, acting as a friendly face for the crew during their breaks.

Requirements & Skills
• Proven experience as a commercial cook or event caterer, ideally in outdoor, festival, or mobile environments.
• Strong understanding of field cooking limitations and the ability to improvise.
• Excellent knowledge of vegan/vegetarian cooking and allergen management.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to discuss and present meal plans within budget.
• An easy-going, resilient personality with a good sense of humour.
