After 20 years in the Fire Service, I thought I’d semi-retire and learn a nice easy new skill with plumbing! 🤣 Couldn’t be more wrong, or perhaps I need better PPE and be a little less clumsy! A few souvenirs from this week alone! Huge respect🫡 to all the plumbers out there!

Nice little job this week swapping out some old radiators and exposed plastic pipework, along with safely removing a few cobwebs and spiders! 🕷🕸️️

So many transferable skills from the Fire Service 🚒, with working in confined spaces being one of them!! Customer renovating and wanted 3 new radiators with exposed pipework, which looks far better in polished copper! System drained, flushed and balanced and now lovely and toasty! ♨️ A few before and after shots!

Toby the Titan takes on a troublesome toilet!
This unfortunate customer had a leaky loo, however we called and sorted it for them in a flash! Access was restricted, meaning the toilet had to be moved to enable a replacement flexi pipe to be fitted. All sorted, and now leak free and it was as if we were never there! Decided it was time for a full bathroom renovation in a few weeks at home. Will be testing the full range of plumbing, joinery, tiling, electrical and decorating skills in the process!
🚽 🚿 🛁 ⚡️ Made a head start at the weekend, painting the ceiling, swapping out the existing light for spotlights, and the old tired extractor fan for new. Busy now choosing the new suite and tiles and aiming to start in a few weeks. It's almost outdoor tap season and time for the hosepipe or paddling pool!! As the weather warms up , why not consider having a new or replacement outside tap fitted.

Whoever ultimately fits this for you, double-check that they install a double-check valve (DCV) internally for you on any new install - a mandatory requirement in accordance with the UK Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 to prevent fluid 3 back-flow contamination to your water supply.

We only fit 'new' installations with both an internal DCV and a service valve for isolation. Please get in touch if you wish to book in for a shiny new or replacement tap, or for any other domestic plumbing work! Great availability from later next week.

Great article from my college, Warrington & Vale Royal College. Loving the plumbing journey with them, and however long it lasts and wherever it goes, it has been great to learn something new
