Due to the Bala Triathlon taking place on 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟔𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫, the A494 will be closed in the Bala area (between Bala Leisure Centre and Rhydymain) from 09:00 until 15:00.

As a result of the road closure and necessary diversions, a temporary revised bus timetable will be in place throughout the day on Sunday.

What a week it’s been! We carried 20,891 passengers last week—a brilliant 𝟑𝟐% 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 (+5,049 passengers) compared to the same week last year!

The August heatwave definitely had you all out and about. Across the network, 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐮𝐩 𝟏𝟔.𝟗% (92,054 vs 78,775 in August 2025). So far this year, we’ve had the pleasure of 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝟓𝟎,𝟏𝟎𝟓 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 aboard than during the same period in 2025! ☀️🪑

Of course, busier buses mean slightly slower boarding and alighting. Combined with a few unexpected network challenges last week—including the emergency road closure in Tywyn, the Merioneth Show traffic alongside the Dolgellau Bypass accident, the Tre'r Ddol road closure, the A494 accident near Bala, a fallen tree on the A487 at Pantperthog, and the accident on the A489 at Caersws—it kept our drivers on their toes! Despite all that, 𝐩𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐮𝐬 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝟑% 𝐭𝐨 𝟖𝟔%! ⏱️👍

🌊 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝟐𝟏: An extra 563 of you hopped aboard—an amazing 57% increase on the same week last year!
🌊 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝟐𝟑: An extra 1,006 of you hopped aboard—an amazing 61% increase on the same week last year!
🚌 TrawsCymru 𝐓𝟐 & 𝐓𝟐𝟖: Your love for the new Double Deckers isn't waning! An extra 2,373 of you (+29%) headed upstairs for the views compared to last year.
🚐 𝐅𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐬𝐢: Usage shot up by 73%! We can’t wait to welcome even more communities when service expands around the Dyfi Valley, Cadfarch, and Machynlleth areas starting October 5th.

On 1st September 2001, Lloyds Coaches set off on its very first journey—a humble school bus service in Dinas Mawddwy. What started as one route with a passion for local transport has grown over a quarter of a century into a vital network connecting our towns, villages, and schools across Mid and North Wales.

This incredible milestone is all thanks to the vision, dedication, and heart of Wyn Lloyd, whose hard work laid the foundations for everything we do today.

As we celebrate 25 years on the road, we are proud to look ahead to an exciting future under the leadership of Dan Lloyd, continuing our commitment to reliable, high-quality local transport for generations to come.
