To all my customers I'm afraid I'm having problems with my mobile phone at my home and around the local area.
I'm told there is an O2 mast down locally and that it's being fixed.
If you are having problems contacting me please drop me a text and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Texts do still seem to get through even when voice calls won't.
Again I apologise and I'm doing my best yo get my phone company to speed up the repairs.

It's been a difficult time over the last few months dealing with the lock down. Over the last few days I've been sorting out outstanding jobs that had been booked before I suspended the business for the lock down.
As of Monday 22 June 2020 I have made the decision that I am going back to work full time. I will still follow government advice re social distancing to keep you and me safe but I'm ready to get back to work.
I will be open for business for routine services, breakdown or repairs and boiler replacements. My prices will remain at the 2019 level through to September to help people coping with the financial hangover from lock down.
It's an ideal time to get your boiler serviced and allow me to give your heating system the once over before you need it switched back on in the autumn.

Covid 19 Update.
For the past few weeks I have been following the government advice to stay at home unless absolutely necessary.

I have been responding to emergency call outs where it has been safe to do so. Safe for the home owner and safe for myself. I have been wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and I have observed social distancing guidelines at all times.

I have stopped non essential work such as servicing and non urgent boiler replacements.

I will continue to only respond to genuine emergencies until the government advice changes.

I have been able to help a number of my customers with minor heating issues by supplying advice over the phone and I'm happy to chat to you if your having difficulties with your boiler and or heating system.

I am looking forward to getting back to my normal working routine and getting through a backlog of work that has built up.

Green Burn Oil Boiler Servicing - Mid Ulster.

"Sure, you don't need to service a boiler every year do you?"

"It depends if you like being cold" is my reply.

This condensing boiler had sooted itself up because it hadn't had a regular service. It stopped firing as it was absolutely full of soot. Cold house, cold and unhappy people.

2 hours of cleaning later I'm covered in soot and the boiler is working fine again.

Can I take this opportunity to say Merry Christmas and a big thank you to all my customers from 2019.

Christmas is nearly upon us but there is still time to get your boiler serviced before the festive break. Cold weather is on its way and we use our oil boilers more over the Christmas period than we do through the rest of the year.

I'm stocking up with parts to deal with breakdowns over the Christmas period as the plumbing merchants will be shut.

I genuinely hope you don't have to call me over Christmas but if you need me I will be about.

The most common enquiry I get is the price of a service.

A service on a non condensing boiler is £45. That includes a new nozzle. The boiler will be cleaned with all the baffles removed, the heat exchanger cleaned and treated with dual X cleaner and preserver. The burner will be set up using a glue gas analyser so it is burning as efficiently as possible.

If your boiler is a Warmflow you may need a new combustion chamber door seal.

In addition if your flexible oil line is over three years old that will need to be changed too. Door seal and flexible oil line are extra over and above the £45 but will only be changed if it is necessary.

The newer condensing boilers cost £55 for a service. As above this includes a new oil nozzle. Both heat exchangers will be taken apart and cleaned. Again the combustion chamber will be treated with dual X cleaning and protective fluid. The condensate trap on the side of the boiler will be cleaned. Again the burner will be set up to run as efficiently as possible using a glue gas analyser.

For both condensing and non condensing services I will check your oil tank and if you have a pressurised heating system I will check the system pressure and the expansion vessel.
