- Electrical Control Panel Builder (x2)
- Test Engineer
- Site Electrician
(Electrical Control Panel Builder)
Responsibilities:
- Layout electrical control panel back plates with components.
- Assemble and label all components and fix to back plate.
- Layout/punch electrical control panel doors/lids with components.
- Wire mains cables as per drawing provided.
- Wire control cables as per drawing provided.
- Complete pre-checks and fill out relevant testing documentation.
- Fix labelling to the electrical control panel door.
- Modify drawings if any changes occurred during the build process.
- Perform the job in accordance with the companyโs policies and procedures.
- Perform any other duties as may reasonably be required from time-to-time.
Skills:
- Must be able to read schematic drawings and assemble parts for electrical equipment.
- 1 year of experience working in a panel building workshop.
- Ability to navigate and interpret electrical drawings.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Ability to work on their own and as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Good problem-solving skills.
(Test Engineer)
Skills:
- Insulation Resistance/ Dielectric (Flash Testing).
- Low Impedance/ Resistance (Ductor) Testing.
- Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Testing.
- Soft Start Drive Testing.
- Power Factor Correction Equipment Testing.
- Protection Relay Testing.
- Full Control Function Testing.
- Completing QA and Test Documentation/ Records.
- Carrying out customer Factory Acceptance Tests.
(Site Electrician)
Skills:
- 1 & 3 phase power supply distribution and installation experience.
- Time served, fully qualified electrician to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- Hold a full driving license.
- Experience within a commercial or industrial environment.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines.
- Able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Qualified to City & Guilds 2391 or 2395 Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations.
- Proven experience of periodic installation testing and knowledge and experience of completing NIECEIC reports.
- City & Guilds 2382, 18th Edition.
- Proven knowledge of control panels, switchgear and motor control circuits.
- Experience in electrical fault finding.
- Experience in large scale industrial electrical installations.
- Hold a current CSR card or equivalent.
- Competent in the use of various IT software packages
