Clients had their extension built to form an open plan kitchen / dining / social area

Leaving what would of been the original back doors from the living room to the garden as an opening …

Feeling like at times they’d want to shut themselves from this area, we fitted this 3 door foldable system which they purchased from

Installing a 25mm solid oak threshold to transition the carpet to LVT

The clients were over the moon with the final product

Complete staircase renovation 💎

• existing under stairs cupboard / balustrade / handrails / internal doors removed
• under stairs cupboards formed with 3 shaker doors and 1 shaker drawer
• t&g panelling fitted with shelf and drop down ready for coat hooks
• skirting to base and hallway
• oak handrail / base rail and embedded glass installed
• oak caps formed and fitted using timber dowels for secret fixing to accommodate existing posts (which were only 70mm x 70mm 😅)
• internal oak holdenby doors fitted into existing frames and finished with gold ironmongery

What a difference this transformation has made to what was once dark congested hallway

Still having the storage space and now it being more accessible than before with an open brighter hallway 👌

Well this one looked like it grew there 👌

A repeat client asked for a wardrobe to fill the alcove next to the existing chimney breast, and for it to be in keep with the rest of the cottage … that’s exactly what they got 🤝

Compared to some of the jobs we do and are involved in, this was a small job, one that took a day and a morning to complete but it’s certainly one I looked at once finished, and thought … yeah that looks the bo****ks! I’m not too bad at what I do 😅

It’s good to do what you love and back yourself in the process 👊

Last week we found ourselves jumping around 5 different jobs due to a cancellation caused by a water leak

This work was looked at Monday night after finishing the previous week’s work, that night I got a message about the postponing of the job. I got straight on the phone to this client who happy to go ahead the next day

Materials gathered in the morning and we got started. We had to over clad the front fascia to allow the poles to run up the side of the drip of the roof … apart from that, it pi***ng down relentlessly all day and the ground being very boggy it went pretty well ☔️👍

Lovely bit of work last week transforming this landing into a bookshelf / seating area with panelling and dado rail throughout to match the downstairs entrance / ground floor to first floor landing

Even though the original panelling didn’t look too complicated to match it ended up consisting of a 4 part profile to make up the dado rail and a 3 part profile to match the centre pieces also a requiring a extra wide chamfer router cutter which was pricey and brilliant. That’s now in the box and not sure how many years it will be before that makes an appearance again 😅

Big shout out to and from for getting their heads down and producing some serious work 👏 they really pulled me through as I had a man flu cheers lads 👊

Great way to end the working year this year finishing this dream job Friday!

It’s not often projects like this come around but when they do, it just reminds how much you love what you do and why you always take pride

I was contacted by repeat clients at the start of the year, who asked whether I’d be interested in building a shepherds hut for them …. Absolutely

They bought the chassis, showed me the designs, bought the materials and basically let me have a free run at it, taking my advice along the way, discussing ideas etc

Long story short … this is the end result and I’m genuinely over the moon with it as are the clients

It’s up there with the best jobs I’ve ever done, clients, location, people involved, all aspects of carpentry, design .. everything

And .construction for the services and groundwork’s which has still work to be done in the new year but they did what they had to do to get the clients in there for Christmas 👊

Bespoke airing cupboard , t&g panelling, dado rail, architrave and high skirting working well against the tiling to give off that traditional look
