We plant for the future. Sometimes long into the future.

I wonder whether whoever planted this cherry and rose together had a vision of what they might look like more than 50 years on?

I hope they did. We're enjoying their plan.

The tiny Mint moth (Pyrausta aurata) enjoying the Oregano (Origanum 'Rosenkuppel'). Whilst it is a 'mint' moth, it seems happy to feast on a menu of herbs.

We've just spent a great couple of hours in the company of Russell Stevens, the Head Gardener of Kensington Gardens; being judged for South & South East in Bloom.

We now wait until September to find out how we've done.

He did get to see the Peonies in full bloom.

We look after well over a thousand at our Maidstone site; so we're never short of 'rose nose candy'.

Taking time is our only challenge!
