I went to this one today for a couple of loose ridges and realise they were all loose due to no cement underneath the ridge just in the joined sections
So we took the ridge off cleaned them up. Then re cement every one back on and left the job with one happy customer 👌

Recently completed
This one had multiple problems. Moss was the major issue as every channel on the tiles was clogged up. Water was getting through the tiles running down the felt to the eave course and straight in the roof . Aswell as no ventilation in the roof causing it to drip from the membrane inside the loft so I installed a dry ridge kit ,vent ,over facia vents aswell as new eave trays and membrane to sort the the all issues. I cleared all moss off and cleared all the channels and Im sure this one is water free now 👊🏻

Hiya hope u all had a good Christmas and hope you have a great new year just a little announcement to make during the Christmas and new year break we a come to a decision that wells roofing is going under new ownership and new management still the same quality of service and standard of workmanship we are going to change the name to Taylor made roofing. I’ve been working with Ritchie and Laura at wells roofing for around 2-3years before that we done a-bit of site work for a couple of years. I’d like to thank Ritchie Wells and Laura Wells a lot for not just closing up leaving me to go else where as they no I am capable of running a business as I’ve proved over the time of me being there and taking on any thing on a long the way . they’ve give me the opportunity to carry it on under different names and me to be the owner. I do really appreciate it . And do wish you’d the best of luck of your future.

Here’s another one we recently completed.
This one was in tiptree and was leaking due to numerous reasons although the main reason was too shallow of a pitch for the tiles.
The tile manufacturer states the old tiles can be laid down to a 15 degree pitch, the roof is 16.5 degrees so technically they should have been ok but once removed, it was evident water has been getting in from all over the roof.
We removed the existing tiles and replaced the membrane with a high quality vapour and air permeable one, we also replaced the treated 25x50 roof battens.
It was a labour only job and the customer followed our advice by replacing the tiles with a 12.5 mendip, we think it’s an excellent choice and the customer can finally sleep at night knowing the roof is now water tight

Well that’s another big one done and dusted 😎
We completed the convent in maldon a couple of weeks ago now and what an enjoyable job it was!
Not only is it a large roof to get stuck into, it’s also steeped in history, fantastic views and to top it off, it’s right on our door step.
As enjoyable as it was, it was nice to get it wrapped up so we can start working our way through our list of other jobs.
As you can imagine, it has great historical importance and is rightly listed so we salvaged as many of the existing slates as possible which we reused and also repaired the old leadwork where ever possible.
We think it looks great and can’t wait to see it all restored by the lovely owners
