Watch Manager Crag Todd, Clacton Fire Station, has issued a safety message after an electrical fault started a fire in Clacton last night. Rainwater had got into an external plug, and the fuse trip has regularly been tripping.

FF Todd said: "It's really important to remember that a fuse is a safety device, and when it trips it is a warning message that something is not right. It should be investigated and not ignored.

"If you're suddenly realising that you regularly reset your fuse box, I urge you to investigate the cause rather than ignore it."

One of the installation jobs completed by SCLMS mechanical engineers today. Complete rip out and installation of new cylinders and pipe work. This was seamless for the customer after one cylinder blew and the other was completely blocked leaving care home residents without hot water. We identified the issues and completed the installation in record time, ensuring the care home residents had hot water in super quick time!
