🌿 A Landscaping Project Very Close to Home! 🌿
This project is a little different from our usual work posts, as it was actually carried out by Belvedere Tree Care & Fencing at our own home!
The garden underwent a complete overhaul from beginning to end. Before any of the visible landscaping could even begin, a huge amount of behind-the-scenes preparation and foundation work had to take place.
A crazy amount of soil was excavated and removed, as the entire garden needed levelling before anything else could happen. A French drain was also installed beneath the ground to help manage rainwater and improve drainage, and a retaining wall was built to support the newly levelled ground and create a strong, stable foundation for the finished garden.
It’s easy to look at a finished landscaping project and only see the final lawn, gravel and fencing, but so much of the most important work is actually hidden beneath the surface. Proper excavation, drainage, ground preparation, foundation laying and structural work all needed to be completed before the finishing touches could begin.
What was once a tired, uneven and fairly unusable garden was completely transformed into a neat, practical and low-maintenance outdoor space, with a new lawn, gravelled seating area, curved timber edging, a retaining wall and fresh fencing.
A serious amount of blood, sweat and tears went into this project — quite literally at times — so we felt it definitely deserved to be shared! 😂
It’s always rewarding seeing the finished result, but even more so when you know just how much hard work went into everything underneath the surface too.
