The Premier League has kicked off this weekend, and we’re now just a few weeks away from the start of the East Manchester Football League. Solarus is proud to be cheering on Signol Athletic’s Under 9 Tigers once again! ⚽️🐯

Looking back at last season, the Tigers enjoyed a fantastic year of football, battling their way through to the Sports Fused Cup Final, where they faced a strong Saddleworth 3D Blues side.

The Tigers produced an emphatic 6–1 victory, with two early goals from Tobias, a hat-trick from Frankie and a final goal from Jacob. ⚽️🔥

The Tigers then went on to lift another trophy at a summer tournament hosted by UK Sports. In a thrilling final, they held their nerve in a penalty shootout against Droylsden Piranhas, with crucial saves from Kishan and penalties confidently converted by Miles, Frankie and Jacob. 🏆

The end-of-season awards were held at Romiley Forum, giving the Tigers the opportunity to reflect on a hugely successful season and recognise the development, commitment and important contributions of every player.

🏆 Parents’ Player Award – Kishan

Kishan received the 'Anne Signol' Parents Player Award after an excellent first season with the Tigers. Taking on the role of goalkeeper, Kishan quickly became an important figure within the squad, showing natural ability, commitment and a fantastic attitude towards his role.

🏆 Coaches’ Player of the Year – Arthur

Arthur was awarded Coaches’ Player of the Year after an outstanding season. Playing across all attacking positions, Arthur excelled wherever he was needed, contributing goals and assists while also working hard to support the defence.

He consistently embraced his matchday responsibilities, showed a fantastic attitude and discipline in training, and took on new drills and challenges throughout the season. A thoroughly deserved award. 👏

A huge well done to Kishan, Jonah, Archie, Zack, Jacob, Arthur, Frankie and Tobias for all their hard work, development and commitment throughout the season. 👏🐯

Part 2 – The Orchard⚡

This stage was all about the infrastructure.

Installing the boards, running the bus wiring, building the network backbone and integrating CCTV, alarms, ventilation and the underfloor heating manifold so everything works together as one system.

A lot of the work at this stage disappears behind walls and panels, but it’s the foundation that makes the whole project run smoothly.

Power, data, security, heating and control – all connected.

The Orchard is starting to take shape.
