We took on this project to replace a section of balustrading which did not meet the criteria for overlooking a neighbouring property. We removed the existing section and fabricated a post & handrail system onsite, then installed 10mm toughened obscured glass with pressure clamp brackets and security pins. This now meets the regulation height and our customer was so pleased with our fast and efficient service, even in the strong winds & rain. We do love a challenge. We have renovated this narrow basement staircase to install a side fixed glass balustrade to maximise the space and let the light pass through, we cut out the existing newel posts and doubled the thickness of the stair stringer to carry the weight of the balustrade panel. We made a full sized template to replicate the shape of the balustrade and used toughened laminated glass with stainless steel disc bolts to fasten it in position. This has totally transformed the look of this staircase and exceeded our customers expectations.

We have completed these balustrades around our customers external balcony using our black base-shoe system with toughened laminated glass. One of the builders who we do regular work for built this fantastic loft conversion with French doors and open en-suite bathroom. He called upon us to design him a bespoke shaped Juliette Balcony and shaped shower screens for the bathroom. This was quite a challenge due to the weight of the 17.5mm toughened laminated panel and the tiled cladding on the face of the dormer. Due to the experience within our team, the challenge was accepted and the job went smoothly. Shower screen to follow on another post !
