During an EICR it was flagged that the customer had appliances such as dishwashers/ washing machines on extension leads. Not only is this a fire hazard it can also in some cases void your housing insurance.

Installation of an additional socket remedied this problem immediately. Adding trunking to minimise the risk of cables being caught when moving the appliances around. This kitchen will be remodelled in the future but that doesn’t mean we have to compromise on safety now.

Sorry we’ve been slow with the updates. We’ve been working on quite a big project. Here’s a nice little job I had the privilege of doing when I was asked to upgrade some light fittings for a customer in Brighouse.
All the fittings had to be slightly modified to optimise safety but this wasn’t a problem at all.

5% of the cost of the job was donated to Medical Aid for Palestinians.

Non compliant terminations found on a commercial property during an EICR! 😳

These are mandatory for;
🏠 Landlords - every 5 years or every change of tenancy.
🏢 Commercial properties - every 5 years

These are recommended for;
🏡 Buying or Selling a property!

EICR’s are essentially MOT’s for your properties electrical installation. They tell you what needs fixing and what could be improved. It’s a positive way of increasing your property value!
