Can anybody guess what this is?

Our golf club project is very nearly finished and this is one of the final pieces to the puzzle.

We’re excited to share completed photos once it’s all done!

Real talk: not every project makes it to the construction phase as originally planned. This extension is part of a bigger refurb but has now been omitted ❌

With build costs where they are right now, budget considerations are a huge factor for our clients—and that’s completely understandable.

While the extension is out, we’re moving full steam ahead with a complete internal reconfiguration and refurbishment. With major structural changes, this home is still getting a huge transformation, and we can’t wait to see it come together. 🏠✨

Final stretch on site today. Progress is looking great, and we are now just two weeks away from completion.

Great site meeting today working through the final details, including ironmongery setting out, lighting, and stain finishes.

A big credit to the team at for doing a fantastic job on this contract. Looking forward to handing this over shortly.

Great site visit and catch up with the client and contractor on our live heritage project!

Progress is looking brilliant:

Restoring the Exterior: We’ve removed a non-original external staircase and rebuilt the external wall, repointing with traditional lime mortar. The contractors have it draped in hessian to protect the lime from the heat while it cures ☀️

Framing Views: Inside, a new brick archway has been formed to perfectly match an existing historic arch—it’s going to draw your eyes straight out into the garden once the external opening is cut 🏡

The Final Character: We’re lining the interior walls with Diathonite—a natural, breathable lime render for extra insulation. Best of all, we’re giving it a bagged finish for a softly undulating texture packed with character 🙌

Planning application submitted! 🏠✨

This transformation blends classic charm with sleek modern design—featuring traditional tile hanging contrasted against sharp aluminium trims, coping, and expansive rear bi-fold doors.

Inside the space:
• Ground Floor: Upgraded, open-plan kitchen and dining area built for seamless living.
• First Floor: Extended bedrooms to create two generous en-suite rooms.
• Loft Level: A completely new principal suite complete with its own private en-suite.

Fingers crossed for permission 🤞

We’ve visited some very interesting sites recently.

It’s amazing to see the passion and creativity of our clients - not to mention the sheer resolve needed to navigate today’s climate of long planning timeframes, legal delays, and rising building costs! 🥲

Looking forward to showcasing more proposal work in the coming weeks.

Thinking about renovating a heritage property?

Here is a quick breakdown of Listed Building Consent:

📄 What is it? Formal permission required to alter, extend, or demolish a listed building.

🛡️ Why? To protect the building’s special architectural interest.

🔍 The Catch: Yes, even internal changes can require approval!

💡 Note: It’s completely separate from standard planning permission and applies to all grades.

Refurbishing a golf club lounge is a delicate balancing act between heritage and modern comfort.

Our latest design focuses on warmth and connectivity. By opening the lounge up to the wider club house, we’ve created a more fluid social environment while prioritising the views across the course.

Key features include a bespoke fireplace, alongside a suspended acoustic panel lighting feature—ensuring that even in a bustling clubhouse, the atmosphere remains refined and the sound levels comfortable.

Our latest Building Regulation submission: a single-storey rear extension designed to transform the heart of the home.

By introducing a pair of corner bi-folding doors, we’ve drastically improved the connection between the kitchen, dining area, and the garden.

This isn’t just about adding square meterage; it’s about creating an expansive entertaining space that feels as open to the outdoors as it does to the rest of the house. A seamless transition for those summer evenings.

The moment a project becomes watertight is when the architectural vision truly begins to shine ☀️

In this extensive multi-extension project - which has transformed the original site into what feels like a contemporary new build - natural light was our primary material.

Now that the shell is nearly sealed, we can finally see the interplay of the deep slot windows and expansive skylights.

These strategic openings don’t just provide light; they curate views through the building and define the volume of the internal spaces.

The stage is now set for the internal fit-out.
