A summer house completely transformed in just 7 days! 🤸‍♀️✨

Our customers wanted to make better use of their existing summer house and create a space their daughter could really enjoy, with somewhere to relax as well as practise her gymnastics at home.

We divided the summer house into 2 separate areas, creating a bright new snug on the larger side while keeping a dedicated storage space on the other. We added large French doors to bring in plenty of natural light, completely finished the interior and installed the ceiling fixings for her gymnastics equipment.

The result is a completely different space that works perfectly for their family, without losing the storage they still needed. 🏡💗

Before 👀 The original summer house was one large open space, mainly being used for storage before we divided it into 2 separate areas.

Work underway 🔨 The new partition had been formed here, separating the main snug from the storage area and starting to bring the new layout together.

The new storage area 🙌 We kept part of the original summer house separate, giving the family plenty of practical storage without taking away from the new snug.

One double garage, THREE completely different uses 🏡✨

This garage was previously being used mainly for storage, but our customer wanted to make much better use of the space without losing the practical garage storage they still needed.

So, we completely reworked the layout.

💻 One section became a dedicated home office, complete with a skylight to bring plenty of natural light into the room.

🧺 At the back, we created this beautiful, spacious utility room, again adding a skylight to make the space feel bright and open.

🚲 And at the front, we retained the original garage door and kept a good sized storage area for bikes, tools and all those things you still need somewhere to put.

It meant our customer gained two completely new usable rooms without extending the footprint of their home AND without sacrificing all of their garage storage.

Where it all started 👀 A packed double garage with plenty of space, but nowhere near its full potential

Still a garage from the outside 👀 We retained the front section for storage, finished with a new electric roller garage door for a clean, modern look.

You’d never believe this was the same garage 🤯

This double garage was once completely filled with storage. Now, it’s a bright and spacious second living room for our customer, complete with a brand new raised roof, impressive high ceilings, skylights and plenty of natural light.

BEFORE 📸

The double garage had become a place for storing everything the family didn’t have room for inside the house, but there was so much more potential hiding underneath it all. 👀

AFTER ✨

We replaced the entire roof to give the new living room this incredible height, then added 2 large skylights to fill the space with natural light. The result feels nothing like a former garage. 🤍

WORK BEGINS 🔨

Once the garage had been completely cleared, we stripped everything back and began removing the original structure, ready to rebuild the space into the second living room our customer had envisioned.

We built these fitted MDF cupboards to give the new living room plenty of practical storage, while neatly concealing the existing boiler so it blends seamlessly into the finished space. ✨

RAISING THE ROOF 🔨

The original roof was completely removed so the team could begin rebuilding it at a greater height, creating the impressive vaulted ceiling that makes the finished room feel so open and spacious.

THE FINISHED RESULT 🤍

The new vaulted ceiling completely changes the feeling of the room, while the 2 skylights and new windows bring in plenty of natural light. It’s now a warm, spacious second living room for the whole family to enjoy. ✨

THE NEW EXTERIOR 🏡

The outside was finished with new brickwork and 2 large black framed windows, bringing plenty of natural light into the living room while giving the former garage a smart, modern finish. You can even see the new skylights built into the raised roof. ✨

ONE PROJECT, A COMPLETELY NEW WAY OF USING THE HOME 🏡✨

For this renovation, we opened up and completely modernised the kitchen, creating a bright and spacious kitchen and dining area that feels much more connected.

But the transformation didn’t stop there. We also converted the 5.2 metre by 6 metre double garage into three separate spaces. A second sitting room at the back with French doors opening onto the garden, plus a home office and dedicated garage storage at the front 💻📦

A carefully planned renovation that gave our customer more living space, a better kitchen layout and practical storage, without needing to extend the property.

BEFORE 🏡 The original kitchen was separated from the dining area, making the layout feel much more enclosed before we opened everything up to create the new kitchen and dining space.

ANOTHER ANGLE 🛋️ The new French doors bring plenty of natural light into the sitting room while also providing direct access out to the garden 🌿☀️

ROOM THREE 📦 Behind this internal door is the dedicated storage room, which can also be accessed from outside through the retained garage door. Practical storage without taking anything away from the new living space!
